INTRODUCTION
Based out of Mooresville, North Carolina, Calabrese Motorsports incorporates a competitive race team
with race winning equipment on a week-to-week basis. Calabrese Motorsports currently maintains a two-car
NASCAR Modified team.
Driver, David Calabrese, operates the 600+ horsepower No. 04 machines at various tracks along the east
coast competing in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and, beginning in 2014, at Bowman
Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Calabrese Motorsports exists to provide a competitive race team, as well as race cars, to advance the
skills and capabilities of the driver in search of opportunities in one of the world’s most challenging sports.

FAST FACTS
David Calabrese may only be twenty years old, but his
interest in racing came at a much earlier age. At Just
six years old, David’s uncle promised to fulfill his
racing dreams after being bit by the race bug. David
had attended a few of his cousin’s races and became
hooked immediately. Upon turning 11, David’s father
and uncle decided it was time to put David’s driving
capabilities to the test as they bought him a kart.
David took his first ever green flag at Englishtown
Raceway Park in New Jersey. Halfway through his first
season, the missing pieces seemed to have come together for a recipe of success. David won his first race
after leading flag-to-flag. He later went on to win the championship that same year. David competed at Wall
Stadium in the Sunday Karting Series and continued at Englishtown Raceway Park before moving to the
national level in the World Karting Association (WKA) in 2006.
In 2010, David advanced to a full-sized car driving at Wall Stadium in the Sportsman Modified series. Two
years later, he moved into the SK Modified Series competing at Wall Stadium and Mountain Speedway in
Pennsylvania.
However, David was still looking to progress another level. In 2013, David began competing on the
NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour (NWSMT) – one of NASCAR’s seven touring series.
Approaching his 10th year of racing, David is focusing on and hoping to capture his first win on the
NWSMT and at Bowman Gray Stadium in the Modified series.
