Annedroids is a science based action-adventure series for 5-8 year olds that follows genius kid-scientist Anne, her fun loving assistant Nick and her android creations as they perform experiments in Anne’s junkyard laboratory. Anne likes to push the boundaries of what’s scientifically possible and loves nothing more than coming up with experiments that do just that. But thanks to the insatiable curiosity of her androids, Anne’s ordered experiments always lead to unforeseen complications, hijinks, and misadventures. That’s where Anne’s assistant Nick comes in; Nick has an uncanny way of figuring out the real life solutions to Anne’s scientific problems. Needless to say, when Anne, Nick and the droids work together the results are far from predictable! 10 ODD SQUAD 40 x 22 mins or 80 x 11 mins Odd Squad is a secret organization run by kids. They investigate anything strange, weird, and especially odd. This live-action follows Agents Olive and Otto as they solve cases ranging from unusual to just plain nuts (including giant nuts falling out of the sky). Odd Squad has a fun, goofy, irreverent style that includes sight gags, one-liners, absurd situations and plenty of slapstick. Embedded in each episode is a math concept aimed at kids in grades 1-2. For example, in one episode, Olive and Otto are called-on to help a pizza delivery lady who keeps doubling herself. In the process of helping her, Olive and Otto also explore and learn what happens when you double a number. Odd Squad is a fun and engaging way for kids to become familiar with, and master, key math concepts and operations. 11 CHIRP 52 x 11 mins Chirp, Squawk and Tweet are best friends who use their imaginations and everyday objects to get them in – and out of – fantastically fun adventures. What would it be like to be a pirate or travel in space, dive underwater on a dolphin or ride a dinosaur? Chirp, Tweet and Squawk may imagine themselves on grand quests through jungles and on spy missions, but ultimately their imaginations get them into trouble. Each day, at the just the right time, the Mail Squirrel drops off a package for Chirp. Everyday items like elastic bands or paper clips become play-savers when Chirp and his friends engineer them into amazing gadgets. By using characters kids relate to and laugh with, coupled with engaging situations, Chirp, like its namesake magazine, opens up the world to preschoolers, one awesome adventure at a time. 12 DINO DAN 40 x 22 mins or 80 x 11 mins An all-star cast of celebrity comedians share the screen with 18 true-to-life, photo-real dinosaurs in the new liveaction, CGI adventure series DINO DAN (26 x 22’) that stars Jason Speveck (Fever Pitch; Sunshine Cleaning) as Dan Henderson. Dan – nicknamed “Dino Dan” by his friends – is an ordinary 10-year-old boy with an extraordinary obsession: he eats, sleeps and breathes dinosaurs. A typical day for Dan isn’t complete unless he’s racing a T-Rex on his school track, finding a Pterodactylus in his attic or getting a baby Brachiosaurus back to its mom. In Dino Dan, you don’t need to imagine dinosaurs - because they’re everywhere! But while Dino Dan is an expert in all things dinosaurs, he also specializes in getting his motley crew of classmates and teachers pulled into his largerthan-life adventures. Several celebrities including Andrea Martin, Mark McKinney, Kevin McDonald, Sean Cullen, Jayne Eastwood and Jon Dore make guest appearances in the series. 13 DINO DAN: TREK’S ADVENTURES 52 x 11 mins or 26 x 22 mins The new season of Dino Dan takes things to a whole new level of dino adventure with 16 new pre-historic creatures, a new gang of friends, and another Henderson brother who can see dinosaurs. That’s right. Trek can now see the dinosaurs too! Now that Trek is eight years old, he has become just as obsessed with dinosaurs as his older brother Dan. Trek eats, sleeps and breathes dinos and, thanks to Dan, has developed a funny way of putting them in any situation. Since Dan is now a bit older than when we last saw him, he’s started to work on projects for his world-famous paleontologist father, which means Dan doesn’t have the time for dino adventures like he used to. Thankfully, Trek has taken up the mantle of “paleontologist in training” and has started to complete the experiments in Dan’s Dino Field Guide. Trek loves dinosaurs for all the reasons that Dan does but he has not turned into a mini-Dan. Where Dan loves research and experiments, Trek is all about thrills and chills. Which means that while Trek will perform the dino experiments left over in Dan’s field guide, most of Trek’s contact with the dinos will be action-filled adventures. Trek’s Adventures has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy awards and proudly took one home for Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Series. 14 PLAYDATE 52 x 5 mins Every kid believes their toys come to life when they’re not around and on Playdate, they really do! Mac, Sammy, Priscilla and Buckie are the beloved stuffed animals of Jacob and his friends Enzo, Molly and Quinn. Each day, these seemingly normal toys sit on the sidelines watching the kids enjoy their playtime adventures. But when the kids are away, Mac, Sammy, Priscilla and Buckie get to play! They do their best to continue the kids’ fantastical adventures but usually end up causing some kind of mess or chaos. Since the kids can never know their toys come to life, Mac, Sammy, Priscilla and Buckie have to finish their playtime escapades before the kids come back and make sure they’re exactly where they started off! Luckily, Norman, the family dog, makes the perfect fall guy. You didn’t think that kids were the only ones who had playdates did you? 15 THIS IS SCARLETT AND ISAIAH 65 x 6 mins This is... is a live action preschool television series that follows its six-year-old hosts as they discover the world from their perspective. In this original, spontaneous and on- location show, our preschool hosts explore, learn and create with everyone from Olympic gold medalists to veterinarians and from astronauts to award-winning musicians. 16 THIS IS EMILY YEUNG 65 x 6 mins In this original format adaptation of the award-winning This is Daniel Cook, six-year-old host Emily Yeung brings a fresh female perspective to season three of the This is… series as she explores, learns and creates in her own fearless way. 17 THIS IS DANIEL COOK 65 x 6 mins The award-winning, live-action preschool series This is Daniel Cook features the six-year-old namesake as he explores, learns and creates with everyone from chocolatiers and musicians to firefighters and dog trainers. Exploring new situations with candid questions, the series captures the adventurous viewpoint of a sixyear-old, resulting in a show that entertains as well as teaches. 18 GIVER 13 x 22 mins Giver is a series about enterprising 6 - 9 year-old kids that work together with their community to reclaim and enhance their playground spaces. A group of 10 kids must decide on a new theme for their playground – choose what equipment to keep and what to scrap. What pieces to add and what murals to paint. They have to find out what their community wants – is it a sandbox, a garden, a pond, a dog park? On top of all that, did we mention, they only have 3 days to do it! Fortunately, the kids aren’t alone. Each episode will feature an enthusiastic team to assist them – an energetic host who happens to be a handy carpenter and a multi-talented artist. They work with the kids to see that their new playground vision is brought to fruition. Every kid and every community is unique – Giver will provide a lasting, tangible display of how kids can contribute to their community in a way that’s interesting and exciting for them. At the same time demonstrating that while it is betterto give then to receive, it’s also nice to get a brand new really awesome playground. 19 ARE WE THERE YET? WORLD ADVENTURE 117 x 7 mins 29 x 30 mins Are we there yet?: World Adventure is a global kids’ travel series hosted by four dynamic sibling duos, ages 6 - 8. Each pair shares their globetrotting adventures through journal writing, drawing, painting and on-location chatter. From walking the Great Wall of China to learning a Ukrainian folk dance in the heart of Kiev, our young hosts take the audience with them on their unscripted and unpredictable tour of the world. 20 ROLL PLAY 72 x 4 mins With scripts by renowned Canadian authors, original songs by acclaimed artists such as Sam Roberts and Kardinal, and the magical puppets of the award-winning Famous PEOPLE Players, the live-action pre-school series Roll Play gets kids moving. Each four-minute episode is a narrated story or song about the adventures of characters like Frank the Crab. While the movements of the Famous PEOPLE Player puppets play out on a black background, children re-enact the puppets movements against a crisp, white background. Visually stunning, Roll Play combines imaginative storytelling with physical movements designed to encourage viewer participation. This series features an amazing cast of puppets and new original songs from a whole new cast of acclaimed artists. Artists who contributed songs to season one include Broken Social Scene, Patrick Pentland of Sloan, Kardinal Offishal, Great Big Sea, Sarah McCully, Jacksoul, Malajube, Prozzak, Jully Black, Andy Stochansky, and Jodie Resther. 21 INTERACTIVE Sinking Ship Interactive is the new media arm of Sinking Ship Entertainment.
