The benefits of ambulation for patients after surgery have long been established.
Walking regularly improves the body’s ability to utilize oxygen, build endurance, reconditions
and strengthens muscles and provides independence. Secondary complications are easily
prevented simply by getting up and moving. Patients heal faster and have a greater sense of
dignity when not confined to a hospital bed.
The primary inhibitors of mobility are concern of managing multiple devices and the significant
staff assistance required.
The Wenzelite Post-Operative Safety Roller is designed to provide early,
safe and frequent mobility in the Cardiology, Med/Surg, Oncology,
Rehabilitation and Transplant departments.

Individualized care – available in several sizes and configurations. Each Safety Roller can be adjusted to the individual’s needs.

The height adjustable Safety Roller features an oxygen tank holder and IV pole.

Consolidate patient’s equipment on one mobile device.
n
Its low frame allows it to be brought very close to the bed to assist in getting in and out of the bed.
n
Automatic braking system engages as soon as pressure is applied to the handlebars.
n
The Safety Roller can carry and manage two oxygen tank holders, multiple IV fluids, individually adjustable forearm platforms, solid seat, soft seat harness, trunk support, pelvic stabilizer and ankle prompts.

The speed and maneuverability can be controlled with its variable resistance tabs and swivel wheel locking brackets.
