Adam Fry ‡ Concertmaster ABOUT THE CREATORS ALFRED UHRY (Book) is the only American writer to win a Pulitzer Prize, an Oscar and a Tony. He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical in 1976 for The Robber Bridegroom. Ten years later he wrote his first play, Driving Miss Daisy. The stage play earned him a Pulitzer Prize, then in 1989 he was awarded an Academy Award for creating a screenplay adaptation. In the Summer of 1996 the Atlanta Olympic Games' Cultural Olympiad commissioned his play The Last Night of Ballyhoo. The show won a Tony Award the following year. Mr. Uhry won his second Tony Award in 1999 for Best Book of a Musical, for Parade. JASON ROBERT BROWN (Music and Lyrics) won a 1999 Tony Award for Parade, which also won the Drama Desk and New York Drama Critic's Circle Awards for Best New Musical. His first musical, Songs for a New World, was directed by Daisy Prince off-Broadway. Arrangements: William Finn's A New Brain; Dinah Was. Orchestration: Andrew Lippa's john & jen; Yoko Ono's New York Rock; Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall. Musical director: Michael John LaChiusa's The Petrified Prince. His songs have been performed by Liza Minnelli, Audra McDonald and others. His musical The Last Five Years is currently playing off-Broadway. He is also at work on a new dance-musical, The Moneyman, and a new solo album.
