Ruffled
ROMANCE
To make these floaty tulle garlands, machine-stitch
(with the tension loose) down the center of
the tulle—the fabric should automatically
ruffle as you work. Tip: You can sew
one long piece and cut it
to the length you
need later.
Piece
OF CAKE
You can’t go wrong with little
pops of color, even at a nearly all-white
affair. And this mint-green tulle pulls off the
pop without taking over. Garland: Lengths of tulle,
looped, knotted and dotted with pearl embellishments.

For Better OR BAUBLE
Hand-cut tulle swirls and a pretty pearl brooch
turned this humble kitchen chair into the
sweetest seat in town.
Name CHANGER
Celebrate the marital monogram with a
simple wooden letter gone fairytale-chic.
Just paint the letter and let it dry. Then
wrap it loosely with tulle, and tuck batteryoperated string lights under the fabric.
Ringside SEATING
Want guest-of-honor seating for everybody
at your reception? Try mismatched
chairs, decked with show-stopping tulle
embellishments. Here’s our secret for upping
the glam factor: strategically placed bling.

Up in
THE AIR
You can up the elegance on
simple party balloons by swapping standard
curled ribbon for gorgeously
ruffled tulle. Just tie it on—and let the float
show begin. See inside (Ruffled Romance) for the
easy ruffling instructions.
Hearts AND FLOWERS
Want to add volume to a readymade
bouquet? Try tucking in a handful
of handmade tulle blooms.
Flowers: Cut out petal shapes,
stack them together, and
stitch to secure—then
pull on the thread to
gather the fabric. Use
beaded floral picks
or delicate pearl
buttons for
the flower
centers.

Save A SEAT
Top to bottom tulle—that’s what turns a basic
chair into a seat your guest will remember.
For catch-the-light dazzle, we dotted ours with
rhinestone hair snaps. They don’t need glue, so
you can remove them when the party’s over.
Photo FINISH
Try this trick for a romantic snapshot-station
backdrop: strips of tulle, crisscrossed across
a basic square frame—we made our frame
from foam board. For extra oomph, dot your
finished piece with simple tulle flowers and
bridal bling.
Have A BALL
Love the whimsy of a fluffy paper pompom?
Make this sweet trend absolutely wedding
worthy by doing it in tulle. Tip: When it’s time
to hang up your handiwork, try translucent
beads instead of invisible thread..
