Please note: January 1, 2009 Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 3, Jump Heights required with entry. Include Jump Height on entry form with class. Entries without Jump Height will be judged at the end of the class. All classes will be descending jump heights. The Sweepstakes classes will be judged prior to the Regular Breed classes. Indicate Sweepstakes in the space provided for “Additional Classes”. All entries must be entered in a regular class. Entry fee is $5.00. Get off at Exit # 3, pay $.25 toll, turn right on Airport Road. Go 1/2 mile to Drane Field Road, turn left, go 1/2 mile to Century Blvd. across from the airport, turn left. From Hwy 60 (from Brandon) .... Take County Line Road north to Drane Field Road. Go east 2 to 3 miles to Century Blvd across from the airport, turn left. Go to the fourth driveway, and turn left into the warehouse complex. From US 98 (from Bartow) .... Go north on US 98 to the Polk Parkway, take the ramp West (Tampa). Get off the Parkway at Waring Road exit, follow the frontage road to the light (Waring Road), turn left, go through the light under the Parkway and go to the light at Drane Field Road. Turn right, go 1/2 mile to Century Blvd across from the airport, turn right. COMPLEX DIRECTIONS - Go to the fourth driveway, and turn left into the warehouse complex. Drive between the buildings and go to the building in the back. Come in the door in the middle of the building. There is plenty of parking but please be considerate of other businesses' parking areas (that is, right in front of another open business -- not too critical on Sundays but many DO work on Saturdays). PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG AT THE SHOW SITE - THERE IS A DESIGNATED DOG WALKING AREA TO THE SOUTH OF THE BUILDING NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS CLOSING DATE for entries: 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016, after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered, or substituted. Both sides of entry form must be faxed Visa/MasterCard number and expiration date, as well as the printed cardholder's name must be included. Fax entries must be received by the closing hour/date. Fax fee: $4.00 per entry in addition to entry fee. Credit charge will be from the “Poodle Corral”. TELEPHONE, TELEGRAPH AND UNSIGNED ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. Entries not on official AKC ENTRY FORMS and photocopies of the Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Refund of entry, less $1.00, will be made for bitches entered in an obedience class that comes in season after the closing date for entries, provided the Show Secretary is notified in writing prior to the date of the show. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian of Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. Errors on entry blanks: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms whomever may make such errors and no entry fee will be refunded in event such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. The show site will be open to exhibitors at 7:00 a.m. Consult judging program for time of judging. 5 A $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee and a Recording Fee of 50 cents will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2.) All dogs present must be held on leash except when in the obedience ring, in the exercising area or crated. Dogs must be ready for judging. The Club will not be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before judging of that breed is over, and the Show Secretary's Office advised at once. The Show Secretary and Showgiving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. Non-Regular Breed Classes for single dog entries to be judged after Winners but before Best of Breed. These classes must be divided by sex. Veterans Class (Breed or Obedience) - For dogs and bitches at least 7 years of age . Qualifying scores are required for all prizes. HIGH IN TRIAL means highest scoring in Regular Classes. DOG means either sex. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Judging schedule and map to the show site will be mailed as soon as possible after the closing of entries. No dog may be permanently removed from the show before it is judged, except by consent of the Show Secretary upon a veterinarian's recommendation for removal. The Show-giving Club, Show Secretary, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or any of their dogs, or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. NOTICE: You are responsible for damage in your room. Clean up after your dogs and repair any grassy areas your dog may dig up. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED WITH A POSSIBLE FINE AS WELL AS A POSSIBLE BENCH HEARING. CELL PHONES must either be turned OFF or put in SILENT mode. Selling dogs: Will not be allowed on the show grounds. NO UNENTERED DOGS ALLOWED AT THE SHOW SITE NO PUPPIES ALLOWED THAT ARE NOT ENTERED IN THE SHOW Transfers (formerly Move-ups) • After a dog earns a title, a transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner’s records the handler and dog are eligible and the dog has completed the requirements for the title af ter the closing date of the trial in which the advanced entry is to be made. • The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. • Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit. • For a written request regarding a transfer for an ineligible dog and handler team from the “A” class to the “B” class at th e same level, please refer to the AKC Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 16b.
