How to get to Nara Prefectural New Public Hall
From JR Nara Station
1. By bus
Take buses numbered “2, 70, 97, 98”.
Go out from the east gate of JR Nara station. Walk along the white roof and cross at the
crosswalk toward the bus station No. 1 at the end of roof.

From bus station No. 1 you can take the 4 lines.
Pay ¥200 yen when you get in the bus. Or show NARA TOURIST Local Bas Free Pass
(¥500 yen/day).
If you take the bus “2“
=> Get off the bus at “Daibutsuden Kasuga Taisha Shrine mae”. Go north along the road
to the cross over point “Daibutsuden”. From the cross over point, you can find the big
roof of Nara Prefectural New Public Hall.

If you take the buses “70, 97, 98“
=> Get off the bus at “Kenshinkokaido”. This bus stop is just in front of Nara Prefectural
New Public Hall (Kenshinkokaido in Japanese)
2. On foot
It takes about 25 minutes to the conference site on foot.
Go along “Sanjo St.” to the east. You will reach a big red shrine gate named “Ichi no torii“.
Go through the red gate and proceed on the unpaved street.
If you meet the paved road for cars and buses, turn to the left (north) to go to the cross
over point “Daibutsuden”. From the cross over point, you can find the big roof of Nara
Prefectural New Public Hall.
From Kintetsu Nara Station
Go to the bus station No. 1.
From the No. 5 exit of the Kintetsu Nara station, you can see the bus station No. 1 on the
opposite side of the street.
Take buses numbered “2, 70, 97, 98”.
Pay ¥200 yen when you get in the bus. Or show NARA TOURIST Local Bas Free Pass
(¥500yen/day).

If you take the bus “2“

=> Get off the bus at “Kenshinkokaido”. This bus stop is just in front of Nara Prefectural
New Public Hall (Kenshinkokaido in Japanese)
2. On foot
It takes about 15 minutes to get to the conference site.
Go along the bus street (Root 369) to the east then you find a tunnel.

Enter the tunnel and proceed in reference to the destination sign of “Nara Prefectural
New Public Hall”.
How to go back to JR Nara or Kintetsu Nara stations by bus from the conference site
1. From the bus stop “Kenshinkokaido”
Turn to the south (left) at the entrance of “Nara Prefectural New Public Hall”
Cross the street to the bus stop. Every bus stops at JR Nara and Kintetsu Nara stations.
But there are only three busses in an hour.

2. From the bus stop “Todaiji Daibutstuden Kokuritsu Hakubutsukan ”
Go to the cross over point “Daibutsuden” and get across to the kitty-cornered (south
west) side where a bus information office is placed.
Go to the south then you will find a bus stop.

NARA TOURIST Local Bus Free Pass (¥500/day)
You can buy a 1-day bus ticket at the information offices of Nara kotsu (bus company)
placed inside JR Nara station and in a building close to Kintetsu Nara station.
Please check the available area.
