CLASSES OF COMPETITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY
1.1

In order to recommend competitors for the Provincial Competitions, local music festivals must be members of

1.2
All competitors must live or study in the Province of Ontario, (with the exception of the National Capital
Region graded entrants who may live in the Gatineau, Quebec area) and have received the recommendation of

least one entry at the local level.
1.2.1
"Non-competitive classes are eligible to proceed to the Provincial Music Festival providing the
Adjudicator assigns a mark of 85 or higher. That mark does not have to be distributed to the local
participant, but it must be included on the Provincial registration form with the Adjudicator's signature.
1.3
For the purpose of these competitions an amateur shall be defined as follows: A music student or any person
whose principal means of livelihood is not obtained from the performance of music in the particular category in

accept only the first correctly completed application form for that competitor.
