The Experiences
When you set foot in Austria you will notice the difference in
air quality straight away. As you embark on your experience
of a lifetime, clean cities and countryside offer an impressive
cultural repertoire and outstanding natural beauty.
A multitude of outdoor activities await, whether you fancy a break in one of
Austria’s picturesque cities, or prefer to be more in touch with nature. Why not
challenge yourself to have a stab at rock climbing or kayaking? Alternatively, take
things slowly and try a round of golf on one of Austria’s many prestigious courses.
Whatever your interest, experts will help you perfect many new skills. Explore
the calming effect of a lakeside holiday, take a sailboat out for the day, or enjoy
a cultural excursion – there’s plenty of choice.Organized group activities provide
opportunities to meet like-minded people.
Food is an integral part of your holiday. Much produce is locally sourced and
often grown or made by the hotels to produce culinary delights. If you get the
opportunity to lend a hand with making local cheese or baking bread, it will
doubtless increase your appreciation of these local specialties. Round this
off with a wine-tasting experience and your taste buds will be truly spoilt.
Immerse yourself in a host of splendid festivals in Austria’s capital, Vienna, or
Salzburg, where there is plenty of history and architecture to enjoy. If you’ve
overdosed on culture, just watch the world go by in one of Vienna’s many
famous coffee houses.
If you simply want to chill out then staying in an Austrian spa is an ideal
way to give your body and mind a treat. Spa therapies often incorporate
tried-and-tested products made from local ingredients for effective, unique
and unusual treatments.
The best Alpine spa experience combines indoors and outdoors. Beyond
the hotel walls lie myriad ways to complement spa treatments with fun,
healthy exercise in the spiritually uplifting setting of lush green slopes and
clear sapphire skies.
Austria is synonymous with nature: mountains or gently rolling landscapes,
pure untreated drinking water in the lakes and mountain springs, uplifting
panoramas and a silence broken only by birdsong. Hotels tend to be built to
a traditional design, using local Austrian pine, which has been found to lift the
mood and increase sociability.
A medical study, the Austrian Moderate Altitude Study 2000, discovered
that after an activity-based three-week stay in the mountains, participants
had lower blood pressure, had lost weight and had increased oxygen levels
in their blood. The opportunity to be active in such unique surroundings will
leave you feeling on top of the world, and give you plenty of things to talk
about when you return home.

10 million litres of healing thermal spring
water arrives daily from the depth of the
mountains. One of these sources is very
unique and its bathing experience begins in
the historic “Thermal Spring Pool”. The water
renews itself every 3 hours and gushes
directly through the stones into the pool,
just like a strand of pearls remaining at an
average of 29.9°C source temperature.
The high content of calcium-magnesiumhydrogen carbonate has pain-relieving,
anti-inflammatory and relaxing qualities. And
all guests at the Warmbad-Villach thermal
spa resort benefit from exclusive admission
to the thermal spring pool between 7am and
8am to start the day full of energy.
