The good folks at The Pardner will team up with One Fine
Day Catering/Debbie Lucero to co-host the July Chamber
Mixer on Thursday, July 15th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The
mixer will be held at the Pardner, located at 702-100
Johnstonville Road, Susanville, featuring delicious food
prepared by One Fine Day Catering, cold beverages, raffle
prizes, and a steer weight guessing contest. This is a great
opportunity to check out the latest merchandise at the
Pardner and get decked out in the latest western wear just
in time for fair! They invite everyone to stop by to enjoy an
evening of western hospitality-you do not need to be a
Chamber member to attend; everyone is welcomed to stop
by to mingle with friends and business associates.

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday, July 8th at
11:00 am at the Sage Hen Restaurant. The committee has been working on reestablishing the
Lassen Economic Development Council. Invitations to the organizational meeting of the LEDC
have been sent to business minded community
leaders throughout Lassen County.
The purpose of the LEDC is to open a constructive dialogue between elected officials, city and
county agencies, pro-business groups and local
business leaders. We hope to not only identify
challenges and opportunities throughout our
community but also to affect positive growth in
the economic development of Susanville and
Lassen County.

Show off your community pride at this year’s
Lassen County Fair Parade by entering your club
or business. The Chamber will be coordinating
the Fair Parade on Saturday, July 24th, beginning
at 10 am. Entry forms are included in this newsletter. The deadline to return your entry is Friday,
July 16th. The Chamber is looking for volunteers
to help with judging and announcing during the
parade. If you would like to volunteer call the
Chamber at 257-4323.
The Annual Fair Parade Breakfast, sponsored
by the Daughters of the Nile, will be held on Saturday, July 24th beginning at 7 am. Breakfast is
served in the Susanville
Masonic Hall. Cost is $5
per adult or $2.50 for children under 12. The menu
will include pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and milk.
The Chamber office will be closed on Monday, July
5th.

The LLTT’s 2010 Farmer’s Market season is in
full swing and is held each Saturday, through the
month of September, beginning at 8 am, at the
Historic Susanville Railroad Depot. In addition a
Janesville Farmer’s Market will be held each
Tuesday, beginning July 6th thru September, from
4-8 pm, at the Artisan Coffee parking lot. It is recommended that you arrive early for best selection

Celebration
The Lassen County District Attorney reminds you
that the DA’s Bad Check Program is up and running. If you have received a bad check and would
like to take advantage of this service, stop by the
Chamber or the DA’s office to pick up a copy of
the Bad Check Report form. Bad check writers
will face immediate criminal prosecution once the
report and corroborating bank records are received. You can send the Bad Check Report and
rejected check directly to the DA’s office. Also
available is important information on how to process a bad check and procedures you can utilize
