July, 2007
President’s Message:
Six down and six to go. Months that is. We are
half way through 2007 and the best is yet to
come.
We had a great Eurocar 2007 show just a few
weeks ago. Thanks go out to all the club volunteers who made this show the best one yet. The
weather, the cars, the bikes and the people - we
can’t ask for anything more.
As of the show date, June 17th, we added 20 new
family memberships to our roster. We only can
grow as a club if we increase our membership
numbers, and, more important, increase the numbers of participating members. Let’s all get involved.
Hopefully, you picked up this copy of our newsletter at our July picnic/meeting. If not, you’ll read
about the great time we had in next month’s
newsletter. Our picnic/meeting is only one of
many activities we do as a club. We are still looking for ideas for events and members to host
those events. Hosting an event is simple. All it
means is having an idea for an event, maybe a
place to eat along the way and doing what we do
best - having fun. I’m encouraging any members,
new as well as current, to submit event suggestions and ideas.
This newsletter is your club newsletter, and it is
the communication with club members who don’t
always attend our meeting or events. It is the
medium that brings our club together, a bonding
in print. With that said, we are always looking
for articles to print. Anything that is fit to
print can be printed. Restoration projects, road
trips with your car, family member happenings,
about anything that you would like to share or
possibility entertain others with is fair game.
Let’s not forget our recipe column. Send Sue
Sanborn any recipes you would like to share with
others. Did you find a recipe that you have not
tried yet and are looking for a guinea pig? Send
it in. Are you looking for a particular recipe and
have had trouble locating it? Send that in. Mail
Sue recipes or recipe requests she’ll put these in
our newsletter to share with others.
Let’s also not forget our member-classified area
in the newsletter. If you have something to sell
and would like to offer it to our members, send
the information to our editor, Tom Ross. Items
can be household related as well as auto related.
The weather is on our side. Drive, eat and enjoy
life.
Enjoy your ride.
Mike
