With more than 40 employees and nearly 6,500 volunteers, we deliver the Scouting program to 18,000 youth at 395 chartered organizations. Simon Kenton Council is a 501(c)(3) charity. We rely on local contributions to deliver character development programs, camping facilities, youth and adult training, service centers, professional support and more. THE 2016 FRIENDS OF SCOUTING CAMPAIGN SIMON KENTON COUNCIL • BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA Simon Kenton Council is making major investments in our four camp properties. Your contributions through Friends of Scouting provide the essential support for year-round Scouting programs and maintenance. Together we can meet our goals, assuring both the best future for Scouting in our council and our mission for youth in the year ahead. Pledge your support now. 89% of the money raised through Friends of Scouting goes to direct services for our youth. The cost to provide the full Scouting experience this year is more than $150 per child, so every family donation is essential. Your contribution is 100% tax deductible and helps provide: • Merit badge clinics and educational programs for your Scout • Assistance for families facing financial barriers through camp scholarships, free uniforms and registration assistance • Operation and maintenance for our four camp properties: Camp Lazarus, Camp Falling Rock, Chief Logan Reservation and Camp Oyo • The Scouter newsletter delivered to nearly 18,000 homes • Training and educational materials for 6,500 volunteers • Accident and general liability insurance • And more!
