Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie will be conducting the
Joint
Civil Military (JCM) broad based Training Programme on National Security during 18-29 November, 2013.
The participants for this programme will be drawn from All India Services, Central Civil Services, ParamilitaryOrganizations, State Judiciary, State Political Executives, Media, Civil Society, Private Sector and Armed
Forces. The participants are normally of seniority equivalent to Joint Secretary/Director to the Government of
India in the civil services and Major General/Brigadier/Colonel
in the Armed Forces.
2.
The objectives of the programme are:
(i)
to increase awareness of the different dimensions and elements of National
Security;
to familiarize the participants with challenges to management of National Security,
emerging external security environment, impact of globalization and internal security
environment, etc;
imperatives of civil-military interface at State, division and district level; and
to provide forum for the participants to interact and exchange ideas on the subject.

I request you to nominate one or two IAS officers of around 14-20 years seniority for participating in
this programme. The nominations of the officers, with their full name, designation, address, telephone and
fax number, e-mail, brief bio-data encapsulating their academic background and charges held may be sent
directly to Shri Tejveer Singh, Joint Director & Course Coordinator on the address given below with
intimation to the undersigned at the earliest, preferably by October 10,2013:
