Jeremiah Castille, Founder Jeremiah Castille Foundation
Jeremiah Castille is a former defensive back for the University
of Alabama having played from 1979 to 1982, winning the
National Championship in 1979 and making the College
Football All-America team in 1982. He played six seasons in
the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver
Broncos. Jeremiah married Jean in 1983 and they have six
children. They are also proud grandparents. Throughout
Jeremiah’s professional career, he knew he had a call from God to mentor, coach
and minister to young people. He felt called to reach out to inner city youth and
bring them hope and faith for the future. In 2001 Jeremiah became an ordained
minister and founded the Jeremiah Castille Foundation to do just that. Today he
also serves as the Chaplain of the University of Alabama football team. Jeremiah
remembers four words that Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant instilled in him...
Leadership, Opportunity, Relationships and Discipline. These are the words that
Jeremiah lives by in his daily walk.
