Reta is eleven and her dad is fifty-one. Both agree; they make
whatever pops into their heads. Each will be displaying their
paintings and other creations. Reta’s designs are about shapes
fitting together and liking colour. Bill recently graduated with
a Masters in Contemporary Art History. He will be building
sculptures in the drive-way using a chainsaw and imagination.

Visit our SECRET GARDEN to see 12 different sculptured
fountains created by Paul. Find the Faerie Grotto and count the
shy faeries hiding in among the flowers. Inside our 104 year old
studio (once an old General Store) you will find Paul’s amazing
leather sculptured masks and beautiful brass and copper Tree
Branches. Beverley will be demonstrating pyrography on her
decorated hard-shelled gourds in the garden. Try your hand!

Lucya Fatima Almeida has been making unique one-ofa-kind jewelry pieces for over 25 years. She specializes in
copper, semi precious stones and collectible Canadian penny
jewelry. Her work is most characterized as “refreshingly
different.” She has shown work across Canada in juried
shows and gallery shops.

Clayworks Pottery, from the rugged shores of Georgian
Bay to the beautiful rolling hills of Bethany. Jodie has
been a potter in the Killbear Park area for almost twenty
years, producing unique pieces from dragonflies to rustic
landscapes. Both functional, everyday kitchenware to
whimsical garden creations. Come and enjoy the fun.

I have been wood carving for over 10 years. Last year I switched
over to carving with chainsaws and power tools. I am inspired by
nature and create what I see in my surroundings. Along with this
Studio Tour, I have carved at the Lindsay Fair, Sir Sandford Fleming
“Loggervest” and Tyrone Mills; as well I have been invited to
international carving competitions (“The Rendezvous” in Ridgway
Pensylvania, and the New York Chainsaw Carving competition).

Moira Canes’s watercolors are deeply inspired by the
beauty in Nature. She is drawn to colour and light. She
wants to convey the Essential Beauty, Space, and Love in
the world. Recently she began experimenting with gelli
printing, using acrylics, and making greeting cards with
matching envelopes and book marks. Moira has been
painting for the last 14 years but for the last two years
Moira’s art has been instrumental in her healing journey
from Lyme’s disease and Parkinsons.

BOWMANVILLE
Delvea is a self-taught multi-media artist with a highly
developed personal style. Ducks Unlimited selected her
as one of their Artists of the Year 1998. Her subjects
include wildlife, horses, pets or people and are created
using acrylic and/or graphite. Delvea’s studio and home
is located in the picturesque rolling landscape of the
Manvers/Bethany Hills area. She is a member of the
Port Perry Art Association.

Sandy will be exhibiting his unique soap stone carvings
in our studio/gallery, but this year he is away teaching
in France and will be with us in spirit. His expertise
in carving is in great demand in the USA and abroad.
Come see the collection of his new hand carved work in
beautiful, quarried Quebec soap stone.
Painting wildlife has always been a dream of mine. Finding
the time I needed to devote to it has only come about in
the last few years. Then I discovered painting on feathers
and found it fascinating. I decided that this was what I
really wanted to do. Tucked away in my little studio I can
get ‘lost’ for hours painting.
Horses are Laura’s passion. Visit her “Studio in the Barn”
to see her award-winning sculptures in wood, detailed
original pencil work and acrylic paintings. She not only
captures the horse’s spirit in her work, but her variety
of work shows her versatility as an artist. Commission
work welcomed.
