Suicide City is one of the last punk bands to emerge from their hometown club C.B.G.B.’s
of NYC before its closing in October of 2006. The quintet-- guitarist Billy Graziadei (exBiohazard) and bassist Jennifer Arroyo (ex-Kittie) along with vocalist Karl Bernholtz,
guitarist A.J. Marchetta, and drummer Dan Lamagna-- has spent the past four years
touring North and South America in support of their independently released five song EP,
'Not My Year.' The EP became an underground favorite and Suicide City quickly built a
following on its strength.
As 'Not My Year' gained critical acclaim, Suicide City began to get air time on Comcast,
MTV, and college and satellite radio. Last year, the band broke from their extensive touring
schedule in order to pour their efforts into a full-length album. The result, entitled 'Frenzy,'
is dark and energetic with a hint of comedic satire. The progression from 'Not My Year' is
evident, and 'Frenzy' moves Suicide City out of the realm of metal / punk and into a
category all their own.
