touch of grapefruit zest and it’s dry,

SHIRAZ
This outstanding Australian red is packed
with ripe cherry, damson and berry
fruit with a lick of smoky vanilla and a whiff
of freshly ground black pepper. One of my
top choices for barbecues.
CLARET
This Claret is virtually all Merlot but it’s not
all soft, yielding fruit. Instead, it has real
structure. A proper savoury glass of wine
with no bells or whistles, just wholesome
drinking.

This class red from the southern Rhône
Valley has a great deal of peppery Syrah
and spicy Ganache, dark, intense,
almost brooding but really supple and
long on the palate. Made for all red
meats, ideally rare.
