A Child Harness, used in
conjunction with a lap seat belt,
maximises upper torso suppor t. It
can also prevent a child from falling
out of the sash belt whilst they are
sleeping, slumping or wriggling.
Without torso suppor t you child is
at a risk of being flung forward in a
crash which may cause serious
head, abdominal and spinal injures.
The SLIDEGUARD™ Clip
positions the lap-belt of the
vehicle correctly over the hips
and thighs. It prevents a child’s
hips from sliding forward during
trips or submarining in a crash.
Other so called Anti-Submaring
designs do not ensure the lap
belt is correctly positioned at all

When a child’s pelvis
slides under the lap-belt in
a car crash this is known
as submarining and
means that the seat belt
could crush the abdominal
organs. If the seat belt
sits on the abdomen in a
crash your child is at risk
of serious internal injuries
or death.
The current Australian Standards tests use rigid
dummies which don’t slump, slouch or cry.
Real life isn’t exactly like this; many children
wriggle or slump causing the seat belt to sit on
their abdomen rather than across their hips
and thighs. Once the seat belt is on the
abdomen the child is in risk of serious injury in
a crash.
SLIDEGUARD™ Clip
Is a life saving device

The SLIDEGUARD™ Clip positions the
lap-belt of the vehicle correctly over the hips
and thighs. It prevents a child’s hips from
sliding forward during trips or submarining in
a crash. Other so called Anti-Submarining
designs do not ensure the lap-belt is
correctly positioned at all times.
Is the Hi-Liner™ SG
suitable for my child?
The Hi-Liner SG is fitted with Shoulder Height Markers to ensure you know when your
child is the correct size for the seat.
Your child’s weight is no longer impor tant in determining use now that these Shoulder
Height Markers indicate suitability.
Minimum Height- from 4 years of age (approx.)
Your child can use the Hi-Liner SG once their shoulders are in line with the Lower
Shoulder Height Marker (with the headrest in the lowest position).
If below the Lower Shoulder Height Marker you child is too small for the Hi-Liner SG
and should remain in a car seat with an inbuilt harness.
Maximum Height- to 6-8 years of age (approx.)
Your child can continue to use the Hi-Liner SG until their shoulders reach the Upper
Shoulder Height Marker (with the headrest fully raised). When your child reaches this
stage they then need to move to the next form of restraint.
