If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front
legs in the air, the person died in battle. If the horse has
one front leg in the air the person died as a result of
wounds received in battle. If the horse has all four legs on
the ground, the person died of natural causes.
In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed
frames by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the
mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on.
Hence the phrase......... "goodnight, sleep tight."

Dear Friends:
Welcome to Summer 2015! This is the best time of the
year and we are looking forward to officially kicking off summer
with you.
May begins with a trip back in time to the Roaring
Twenties, Chicago’s yesteryear at Tommy Gun’s Garage. Then
we’re off for our second road trip of 2015 to Toronto & Niagara
Falls. Mid May we venture to Nay Pier for a day with William
Shakespeare & Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility . We will end
May with none other than our popular Mystery Trip!
Beginning in June we are heading to the Paramount
Copley Theater in Aurora for Menopause The Musical, and if
that’s not hot enough for you, we have lunch at Fireside Grille.
Then it’s off to one of our favorite places, Rosewood in Delevan
where we will see “Summer Breezes” with a stop at The Mars
Cheese Castle following the performance. The next week, we
travel back to Wisconsin to Potawatomi Casino…and as we close
out June, the Third Time’s a Charm as we’re back in Wisconsin.
We’ll start the Day at The Domes, and then head over to the
Milwaukee Art Museum for a guided Tour and Lunch. We’ll end
our trip with a Milwaukee Historic River Cruise.
June 2nd, 9:30-11:30 am we will have a Garage Sale here
at the Center. You do not have to be a Senior Club member to
come to this, Come One Come All! If you have stuff you would
like to donate to the garage sale, please drop them off at The
Howard Mohr Community Center by Friday May 29, 2015.
Sign up for our trips early as space will be limited.
Happy Mother’s Day& Father’s Day to Everyone
Love,
Karen
