IT’S ABOUT Family
When you call Memories Unlimited, you’ll always get personalized help from
one of our seven family members who make up our organization. We feel that
offering bereavement tools to help another family, caregiver, or individual
through a difficult time should be a personal experience.
I started our female owned company, Memories Unlimited, in 1981 by
sewing baby bonnets for hospitals to give to new parents. It wasn’t until close
friends experienced a devastating infant loss that I saw the need to create a
bereavement support tool to help comfort families. Bill, my husband, joined
in the efforts to help research and develop the first Memory Box™. Later,
each of our three daughters and two of our son-in-laws joined the company,
and so did the addition and development of other bereavement support tools.
2014 marks a turning point for our family and the company: we are introducing
a comprehensive website with online ordering capabilities. We would like
to stress that the website is designed as an additional way for caregivers and
families to reach us. In order for us to sensitively care for both families and
caregivers, we’ve created two separate paths: one path includes resources
and specific bereavement support tools appropriate for grieving families
who may contact us after they have left the hospital, while the other path is
exclusively for healthcare professionals, which offers ordering privacy and
full access to view all of the Memories Unlimited products. We understand
bereavement needs and budgets vary for every organization, which is why we
offer a wide variety of items and prices. We hope you will see the thoughtful
measures we took to making sure the two-part approach on our website
would be functional, sensitive, and personal to grieving families, caregivers,
and healthcare professionals.
Our mission is simple: First, serve the needs of the patient and family. Second,
serve the staff and caregivers. In all that we do, we strive to assist those who
need the help and support of our tools, and we endeavor to deal honestly and
fairly with our customers and suppliers. We appreciate each customer and every
order, and hope the psychological support tools and practical items we offer
continue to provide help for the whole patient. We believe a big part of life is
about helping one another, and if we continue to keep that in mind, together
we can achieve our motto:

It is possible to order custom colors, coverings, sizes, logos and unique designs to fit the needs of your program. Do you have multiple departments in
your facility that are using the Memory Box? Consider standardizing the bereavement program in your facility and explore the option of providing an
assortment of custom sized Memory Boxes to fit each using department’s needs. Caregivers can present a custom sized Memory Box to the family that is
especially made to accommodate the appropriate amount of treasured keepsakes for their baby, child, or loved one.
For custom orders, there is a minimum order quantity that varies by product. Please allow approximately 120 days for fabrication and delivery of custom
Boxes. Upon request, many of the Memories Unlimited components can be assembled inside the Box of your choice, and reflects exactly what you want
for your families. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
Limited Editions
Occasionally, Memories Unlimited will offer limited quantities of a custom design or covering of the Memory Box, Remembrance Box, Memento Box or
other specialty item. Limited Edition items allow facilities to:

Developed to help complete the continuum of bereavement care by providing caregivers with a dignified, respectful, sensitive, and practical way of managing
the Presentation and Handling of the infant when a loss occurs, for themselves, for the infant, and for the family.
The
entation portion of this System was developed for the Parents. It provides them with the comforting memory of their infant cradled in a
Rattan-looking Basket (rather than in an isolette), giving a less clinical and warmer last image of their infant in the hospital and a gentle setting for photos.
The

The Mother’s Journal is a sensitive bereavement support tool designed
specifically for use with the Memory Box to gently help the mother express
some of the feelings she may experience after the loss of her infant. It
provides a place to journal thoughts, while offering prompts and suggestions.
This Journal is included in all the Complete Memory Boxes, but may also be
ordered separately in English or Spanish to augment the Memory Box – Box
Only or the Memento Box.
The Memory Journal features a padded cover, an interior front pocket, and
spiral bound blank pages of high quality paper that allows the freedom for
the recipient to determine its use. Many facilities provide the Journal for
pediatric and adult patients to use as a scrapbook or record thoughts and
feelings during an extended stay. It can also serve as a sensitive tool for
family members to journal thoughts in during bedside hours with a Loved
One of any age in the Intensive Care Unit or in an end-of-life situation. The
Memory Journal can also be used as a guest book at a memorial service
and is designed to fit inside both the Memory Box and the Memento Box.

Memorial Cards coordinate with Memories Unlimited literature and
serve as a gentle way to acknowledge a funding source and help direct
future donations. Generic Memorial Cards acknowledge broad-named
supporters who may be willing to offer funding assistance, Custom
Memorial Cards include the specific name of a funding group or
donating family printed on the card. The Custom Memorial Card
shares the same look as the Generic Card and includes a one-time set
up fee with complimentary future reprints (as originally submitted).
One Generic or Custom Memorial Card is offered to accompany each
Box ordered, upon request, at the time an order is placed. Please

The Keepsake Impressions Kit, sized for Infants and All Ages, is a treasure that captures - in a mold - a moment in time. Molding Kits are a quick and easy
way of providing families with a lightweight, permanent impression of their Little One or Loved One. Kits come packaged with simple instructions, a data
label or card, and include a specially designed impression area sized to accommodate the precise amount of no-mix, ready-to-use Molding Material. Safe
and non-toxic, the material is initially pliable, so a ”second chance” impression can be tried again if needed. Kits can be given to the family immediately
with minor instruction that the impression needs to remain open and uncovered to air dry for at least 36-48 hours. To ensure best results, please use the

Resolve Through Sharing (RTS) is the leader in bereavement education and training. Memories Unlimited has provided the soft purple satin fabric and
Hand-crafted Paper Bereavement Support Tools to RTS since 1994. The purple color ‘private label’ RTS Family of Memory Boxes and Bereavement Tools,
coordinates with all RTS literature and training materials, enhancing recognition of the RTS continuum of care.
In addition to the RTS program for perinatal death, Bereavement Services offers training courses for pediatric and adult death, conference workshops, and
