Monthly meetings held
at Buster’s on Raeford
Road in Fayetteville.
Greetings,
I would like to thank all
the hard work of the
Hospitality and Entertainment committee
members, for a great
party.
We had a nice
crowd with many wearing the Green, (two members
wearing caps, that were quite
complimentary) and finished
with a Two Step!
Our Membership is slightly
over 150 now, and hopefully,
as we enter into the summer
months, it will be Carolina Blue
sky and warm pleasant nights.
Every Shag Club essentially
runs on volunteers and fund
raising, so I would like to thank
our volunteers for last Saturday.
Also, for everyone cleaning behind themselves which helped
us straighten the Moose Lodge.
SOS starts 17 April, we
are participating in the newly
generated and loosely federated
Shag Clubs of Eastern Carolina
(Atlantic Beach, Cape Fear,
FASA, Sugarfoot &Twin Rivers)
Social on Thursday, 23 April, 1
to 5 PM, at the Pirate’s Cove.
Snacks and Finger Food will
be provided, each Club has 10
pitchers of drinks. Since many
of our members are returning
to the beach that afternoon,
I am planning to have our 10
pitchers arrive after 3:30 pm.
The DJ will be playing some
great dancing songs and
Betty Brown will start at 5.
May 2nd we are hosting
our annual Reverse Raffle
Fund raising, and we will
have several door prizes,
dancing, and some great
food, so contact Dwayne
Baggett or one of our club officers to get your tickets and
to sell to your besties!!
The Easter Season is
upon us, and a time for each
of us to reflect on the greatest gift of all. And a time to
remember our loved ones,
who have departed or are
deployed!
Warm regards,
always
