Albert Apfel was born in Rock County, April 3, 1874, in early life making his home in the town of Porter.
February 13, 1902 he was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Buetow, of the Town of Center. To this union five
children were born, one dying in infancy.
He was a trusted employee of the Baker Manufacturing Company for the past twenty-two years, until several
months ago, when ill health forced him to retire; gradually growing worse from day to day. Mr. Apfel passed
away, Monday December 20.
Mr. Apfel was a man universally respected by all who knew him, being a man of exceptional industrious habits.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen and the Woodmen of the World.
Funeral services at the home Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. F. P. Hanaman, officiating, interment being in
Maple Hill Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife and four children, Lloyd, Minnie, Lindle and Maurice; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Kueltz,
Center; Mrs. Rose Miller, Marshall, Minn., and Mrs. Minnie Miller, Laramore, N. D.; six brothers, Will, Center;
Lewis, Evansville; Henry, Laramore; John, Neilsville; George, Westby, Wis., and Charles, Chetek.
