With nearly 12,000 people in Findlay and
surrounding communities living with cancer,
this comprehensive cancer center is a much needed
addition to Findlay’s health care offerings.
At BVHS our Cancer Care team is here for our patients every step of the way serving as Cancer Care Champions, advocates and friends. It’s personal to us.
And it’s personal to our patient, David Dellifield.
“I found out I had throat cancer in February 2011, and I chose to have my radiation
treatment at Blanchard Valley. Dr. Lutz and I just clicked. We spent more time NOT
talking about cancer than we did talking about it. He told me at the beginning of my
treatment that there was a 98% chance he could get my cancer taken care of. That let
me focus on the future. The team at Blanchard Valley truly cared about me.
I know the treatment you get here is the same as what you get in large cities.
However, there is a difference, and that difference is that people
at Blanchard Valley genuinely care about you.”
At Blanchard Valley, patients truly have a champion. Dr. Lutz and
nurse Sue Karsnak are proud to be Cancer Care Champions for
David Dellifield.
“It takes a special kind of
person to work with patients.
I am fortunate to work with
doctors, nurses and associates at
Blanchard Valley Health System
that are committed to making
a difference.”
Judi Hilty, RN
“I know from a personal
standpoint what it means
to be diagnosed with
cancer. I want to make sure
our patients feel supported
every step of the way.”
