ALSO ROOM 2`S TRIP TO KELLY TARLTONS
Greetings all, It has been a very busy term. Thank you all for sending your children to school with a positive attitude, well clothed, with a lunch and are happy to learn. They are a tremendous group of children and it has been many years since I have seen such a settled group in the school. Thank you for the support, helping with sports, turning up to support your children at sports events, school trips, parent interviews, netball couching and parent reading. The teachers have been busy learning about all sorts of new approaches to teaching the modern curriculum. This will continue next term and we look forward to the senior school production coming up. The actors are already working hard with the teachers to learn their parts. It is going to be fantastic. In the meantime, we are getting ready to open a small class of new entrants on the first day back next term. If you have friends wanting to start in a new entrant class next term, let them know about us. Keep warm and safe. We had a fantastic time there and would again like to thank all those parents who came to help. These are some responses from the children in Room 2 about the best thing they saw on the trip. “At Kelly Tarlton’s I saw a penguin and it was a little fluffy baby. The fluffy baby colours were brown and black. The baby penguin was standing on the ice. The other penguins were lying down and sleeping. I thought the baby penguins were cute.” By Angelina L. “At Kelly Tarlton’s there were fluffy penguins that were babies. I saw one go in the water and it looked cold and when the penguin came out it was shivering.” By Emily S. “I saw a stingray at Kelly Tarlton’s and it was floating in the water. The stingrays were hungry and I saw a lady feed them. They looked like they were biting her but they weren’t.” By Dakota S. “I really liked the sharks because they have sharp teeth. I saw them swimming around in a big tank and they were swimming over my head. It was cool.” By Stanlee B. “I saw a shark and it was fun. He had a big tail and a fin and a big mouth with teeth. He was swimming in the water. I was excited.” By Daniel A.
