Orquidia Violeta is sewn singularly in Silverlake
by Orquidia Violeta Velasquez. Orchid is the
founder of LaborFruit, a craft collective based out
of a store front in Echo Park. She employs a unique
stream of consciousness tailoring method to create
un-reproducible wearable works of art for Women.
Like a revolutionary tank parade, Orchid's JUKI
can be heard rumbling well into the night,
threading out timeless masterpieces, as she
endlessly struggles to realize her own ever
changing vision of a fun party outfit.
