ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH
RECTORY RESTORATION PROJECT
St. Anthony’s Parish has been blessed with one of the most
beautiful churches in the State of Wyoming. Over the years, our
parishioners have given generously for its maintenance and upkeep. Did you know that our parish also has a wonderful Rectory
facility, which has the potential for becoming a center for supporting and housing not only our pastor and his new associate
pastor, but also visiting priests, as well as becoming a homeaway-from-home for our very busy and well-traveled Bishop?
Over the years, the Rectory has not received the same level of
attention and upkeep as our other parish buildings, so its potential is not being fully utilized. There are some infrastructure
issues, as well as some cosmetic upgrades, which now need our
attention. Our Rectory should be as warm and welcoming as our
church. We need the support of our whole parish to make this
happen.

FIRST READING
When Moses came to the people and related all the words and
ordinances of the Lord, they all answered with one voice, “We
will do everything that the Lord has told us.” Moses then wrote
down all the words of the Lord… he erected at the foot of the
mountain an altar and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of
Israel. …Taking the book of the covenant, he read it aloud to
the people, who answered, “All that the Lord has said, we will
heed and do.” Then he took the blood and sprinkled it on the
people saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord
has made with you in accordance with all these words of
his.” (Exodus 24:3-8)
RESPONSORIAL PSALM
I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the
Lord. (Psalm 166:12-13,15-16,17-18)
SECOND READING
Brothers and sisters: When Christ came as high priest of the
good things that have come to be, …that is not belonging to this
creation, he entered once for all into the sanctuary, …thus obtaining eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls
and the sprinkling of a heifer’s ashes can sanctify those who are
defiled so that their flesh is cleansed, how much more will the
blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works
to worship the living God. (Hebrews 9:11-15)
GOSPEL
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when they
sacrificed the Passover Lamb, Jesus’ disciples said to him,
“Where do you want us to go and prepare for you to eat the
Passover?” He…said to them, “Go into the city and a man will
meet you, carrying a jar of water. Follow him. Wherever he
enters, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says,
“Where is my guest room where I may eat the Passover with my
disciples?”’ Then he will show you a large upper room furnished
and ready…” The disciples then went off, …and found it just as
he had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
While they were eating, he took bread, said the blessing, broke
it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is my body.” Then
he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all
drank from it. He said…”This is my blood of the covenant, which
will be shed for many\. Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink
again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in
the Kingdom of God.” …after…they went out to the Mount of
Olives. (Mark 14:12-16,22-26)

EVANGELIO

PATRIOTIC ROSARY
Do you see a need for prayer for our
country? Come and pray a Patriotic Rosary for the Consecration of Our Nation
and the Conversion of Our Country. As
we prepare to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day, we
think of how they have followed in the footsteps of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please join in as we remember and pray
for all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and all
their families, and all those who serve in the United States
Military today and their families. Sunday, June 10th at
2:00pm at St. Patrick’s Church.
LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS involve the use of many sacred
articles. One of these being Altar Linen. There are some
kinds of Altar linen that we use only once during each Eucharistic celebration. Consequently, in order to ensure a
clean supply of clean and decent liturgical Linen, we have
volunteer families and individuals who make sure that everything is clean and available for use at each celebration
without fail. It is so easy to overlook these acts of kindness
and the people who perform them. We owe our Altar Linen
volunteer families and individuals our deepest gratitude for
all they do in order to provide us clean environment for
worship.
Funerals are difficult moments for surviving loved ones and
friends. In our Faith Family, we have volunteers who give
the best of themselves in order to help us mourn our loss by
providing food, time, and services. Many times, we do not
know who they are. However, there is one thing we know.
We occupy a special place in their hearts. We owe each one
of them our deepest and prayerful gratitude as well.
If you think you can help, wash or sew new Altar Linen or
volunteer at Funerals, please call the shepherd Staff and
we will put you in contact with someone you can work with.
Thank you all for your generosity in carrying one another’s
burdens in this our Faith Family. May God bless and protect
you always. Fr. Lucas Kazimiro Simango
HOLY CROSS FOOD BANK
“To feed those who are hungry” is
only fulfilled through your donations.
Again the Holy Cross Food Bank is
asking for your assistance. They are
in need of egg cartons (both empty
and full), peanut butter and
cheeses. They also need volunteers
to help at either stocking the shelves
or working at the desk (which requires an absolute minimum of computer knowledge).
The time involved would be only two hours a week—either weekday
mornings or afternoons. Please call the CENTER if you are
interested at 577-1041. They thank you for all the help you
have given them.
