Welcome to Lunenburg’s historic
and picturesque waterfront.
This working waterfront is home to tall ships, schooners,
dories and fishing vessels. Our floating docks provide free
daytime berthing, as available. We also offer overnight and
long-term berthing options.
This brochure is designed to give you an overview of
Lunenburg’s marina services, as well as ways to enjoy and
explore Lunenburg and its waterfront. We hope you enjoy
this port of call.

CUSTOMS
All visitors entering from a foreign port must first contact Canadian Border
Services at 1-888-CANPASS (1-888-226-7277).
HARBOUR MASTER
Pleasure craft are not required to contact the Harbour Master; they are free
to proceed on their own. If a difficulty arises, the Harbour Master will

Stroll the streets lined with charming 18th and 19th century architecture
and experience the authenticity of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit
the ships that call Lunenburg home: three-masted barque Picton Castle;
Spirit of Adventure, skippered by round-the-world solo sailor Derek Hatfield;
and iconic schooner Bluenose II, Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador
(bluenose.novascotia.ca).
Take in the numerous sights and sounds on this working waterfront, from
wooden schooners in mid-build at the Dory Shop or vessels under repair
to fresh seafood catches being unloaded at the wharves.
