Known as the idyllic fishing village, Peggy’s Cove is one of the most popular stops in Atlantic Canada. Set on rocky shores, the lighthouse and village at Peggy’s Cove are a photographer’s paradise. Peggy’s Cove is certainly one of Canada’s gems. Take the Time Lunenburg Region HIGHLIGHTS Town of Lunenburg - On December 6, 1995, Old town Lunenburg was inscribed on the World Heritage list of the UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and National Heritage. Inscription on this list confirms the exceptional universal value of a cultural or natural site which deserves protection for the benefit of all humanity. Petite Riviere Vineyard Crescent Beach Wines from Canada’s oldest wine growing region. The 2km of white sand beach stretches out from the shore to Georges Island. Gaff Point Tancook Islands A true hikers adventure. Unique, unspoiled promontory of 124 acres seperates the LaHave estuary and Hartling Bay. Two island communities located 6km off the southern coast of Nova Scotia. The islands are accessible by passenger ferry. The park offers a picnic area, on-site privies, walking trails, rock beach and look off points. 2 Lunenburg County Winery The winery is located at Hackmatack Farm, a commercial highbush blueberry farm. In 1994, Petite Riviere Vineyards revived the tradition. It consists of marine, terrestrial and wetland ecosystems. The little community of Blue Rocks is advertised as “Lunenburg’s answer to Peggy’s Cove”. 12 6 Osprey Ridge Golf Club A privately owned 190 acre pristine reserve of coastal forest. Here you will find more than three kilometers of white sand, rolling surf, fresh sea air, drumlin cliffs and breathtaking views. Tancook Islands Big Tancook and Little Tancook are 2 islands located 6 miles off the southern coast of Nova Scotia in Mahone Bay.
