Dear Stitchers,
Didn’t we just start 2015? And here we are on the brink of 2016!
organized for the holiday sprint!
Time to make some lists and get
We are working hard to keep the walls at Needle House fresh with new and exciting designs for you to
choose from each time you are in the shop. I found an artist named Neenah Stone at market and
she has been very popular at Needle House since we starting featuring her things. She has quite an
eye for cats and her sweet ornaments capture a realistic whimsey that is enticing. She also does a
couple of wonderful Longhorns that you should really see. Recently, I ordered some darling new Kate
Dickerson Baby Sleeping Signs that should be arriving soon. I found a new company for Greek Life
canvasses, so if you have a pledge that might like something inspired by their sorority or fraternity,
we have a great selection (upperclassmen love the belts and key chains!).
In other exciting Needle House news, watch your email and our website to see who is coming to town
this March. My new series will be an exciting journey on which I hope that you will all join me!

Needle House Annual Bunny Show
Saturday, March 5th
Grab your basket and hop on over to see all the new bunnies,
chicks and rabbits that will take over Needle House at this
annual favorite event. Artists love to send us bunny inspired
items to premier at The Bunny Show so you will not want to miss
it! We will have chicks, rabbits, and all kinds of spring filling up
the shop and we look forward to having you there too! Melissa
Shirley, Brenda Stofft, & Susan Roberts will be just a few of the
amazing designers that join us for this event each year.
Ann Kelly’s Basketweave Class
Join Ann Kelly for her technique class on the
basketweave stitch. This class is for the new or
seasoned needlepoint student as it is a great basic to
learn as well as an incredible refresher for all of us.
Be reminded of the secrets and tips for proper
basketweave, tent stitch, and continental application
for our needlepoint.
Ann will be offering her class this quarter on
Tuesdays, January 26, February 23rd, and March
29th at 10 a.m.
Ann Kelly’s 2 hour class is packed with hints, tips and
technique. Call Needle House to sign up and save a
spot in this wonderful class!

Come & Stitch with Laurie Walden
Spend the day stitching with Laurie every Thursday morning and/or afternoon.
Laurie brings her considerable talents with threads, color and stitches to the
Needle House teaching table. Call us at Needle House to check availability and
register!
Nancy’s Workshops
These are two-hour workshops concentrating on the application of special stitches and fibers to a
project of your choice purchased at Needle House. Sign up is on a first come, first served basis.
Class fees are due upon registration and are non-refundable. If you have an emergency or conflict,
we will be happy to accommodate you as best we can, depending on the availability of classes.
However, you are always welcome to find your own substitute. Class fees are $20.00 for one 2-hour
session.

Quick Stitch Variations is a wonderful resource. Not only is
it a perfect size to drop into a stitching bag, it is bursting
with new ideas and unusual twists on some of our favorite
stitches. If you are stumped for a stitch, open it up and
you will likely find a stitch that opens your mind to
interesting possibilities. Try using this one found on page
44. This stitch can be created in up to five colors or as
shown in b, c, & d , you can use three colors and textures
and create very different effects. This stitch is amazingly
versatile!
