Querétaro Colonial city. Be enchanted by the magical atmosphere. The city of Querétaro is located in the central region of the country, about 200 kilometers north of Mexico City. Querétaro’s beautiful, historic downtown area was declared by UNESCO a world heritage site, along with 24 other Mexican locations. One of the safest cities in Mexico, Querétaro’s climate, with average temperatures ranging from 64 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 30°C), is beautiful year round.
