BENEFITS OF THE ADDGAS SYSTEM
COST-EFFICIENCY
SAFETY AND RELIABILITY
The ADDGAS system can reduce the amount of diesel
consumed by 35 to 50%, depending on the quality of natural
gas available at the site. The ADDGAS system adds pipeline
quality natural gas to the diesel fuel supply, which allows for
a significant reduction in the volume of diesel consumed. The
potential cost savings for an ADDGAS system can be up to
23% over a standard diesel generator.
Aggreko generators are designed and assembled at
Aggreko’s own ISO 9001 accredited manufacturing facility
in the UK. Only the highest quality components are used
to ensure trouble-free operation and overall reliability. All
equipment satisfies the most stringent requirements with
regard to safety standards, noise levels and environmental
protection. In addition, all Aggreko on-site processes are ISO
compliant and QHSE systems are implemented at each site.
FLEXIBILITY
The ADDGAS system provides a flexible solution combining
the high load pick-up of diesel generators with the lowered
cost of a gas/diesel fuel supply. The gas/diesel mix is digitally
controlled at each generator and works with the load to
maintain fuel efficiency. ADDGAS can be retrofited on existing
diesel generators on-site with minimal disruption of operations
and no impact on routine maintenance.
THE ADDGAS SYSTEM

worldwide increase in diesel prices and the fact that many of our
projects occur in locations which require fuel to be transported
over long distances, the cost of running diesel power plants has
risen over the past few years. In addition to this, some sites
have local sources of natural gas available which can be used
for power generation. The ADDGAS system uses both diesel
and natural gas to create a unique power solution backed by
the reliability, operational support and service of the Aggreko
brand.
The ADDGAS system is an add-on technology, which allows for
substitution of a significant portion of diesel fuel with natural gas
and gives the customer a considerable saving on overall costs.
Proven and tested in our ISO 9001 certified workshops; the
ADDGAS system is retrofitable with Aggreko standard diesel
generators. With our worldwide network of service teams and
depots, Aggreko can efficiently undertake an on-site system
conversion which will result in lowered costs for your project; an
