Operating Costs A major portion of any power project budget is fuel cost; by reducing the amount of diesel consumed, the ADDGAS system provides an effective means of lowering overall costs resulting in significant savings over the lifecycle of a project. Diesel cost: USD 0.76/ litre Gas cost: USD 4.00/ mmbtu BENEFITS OF THE ADDGAS SYSTEM COST-EFFICIENCY SAFETY AND RELIABILITY The ADDGAS system can reduce the amount of diesel consumed by 35 to 50%, depending on the quality of natural gas available at the site. The ADDGAS system adds pipeline quality natural gas to the diesel fuel supply, which allows for a significant reduction in the volume of diesel consumed. The potential cost savings for an ADDGAS system can be up to 23% over a standard diesel generator. Aggreko generators are designed and assembled at Aggreko’s own ISO 9001 accredited manufacturing facility in the UK. Only the highest quality components are used to ensure trouble-free operation and overall reliability. All equipment satisfies the most stringent requirements with regard to safety standards, noise levels and environmental protection. In addition, all Aggreko on-site processes are ISO compliant and QHSE systems are implemented at each site. FLEXIBILITY The ADDGAS system provides a flexible solution combining the high load pick-up of diesel generators with the lowered cost of a gas/diesel fuel supply. The gas/diesel mix is digitally controlled at each generator and works with the load to maintain fuel efficiency. ADDGAS can be retrofited on existing diesel generators on-site with minimal disruption of operations and no impact on routine maintenance.
