Batik Trip Itinerary Day 1-2: Fly from LA to Jakarta. Due to the time difference and crossing the international date line, you lose one day traveling. (Don’t worry, you will get it back when you return) Arrive at hotel, check in and late dinner (Dinner) Day 3: Visit to Batik Museum and Batik Training Course (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Day 4: Fly to Solo, check into hotel, antique market and sewing class (B, L, D) Day 5: Visit to commercial batik factory, explanation of part one of the production process, hands on production using your unique stamp. Visit to a cotton spinning and weaving factory and sewing class(B, L, D) Day 6: Visit to Stamp making factory and explanation of the process. Part 2 of the batik production process at the batik factory. Hands on production using your unique stamp. Sewing class in the evening (B,L,D) Day 7: Visit to Batik Museum and traditional batik workshop, visit to local batik fabric stores and shopping markets. Sewing workshop (B,L,D) Day 8: Drive to local batik artist who uses all natural dyes and visit to Prambaram Temple, check into hotel in Yogyakarta (B,L,D) Day 9: Visit to Borobudur at sunrise: fly to Jakarta (B) and return to USA or fly to Bali (optional Bali segment) (B,L,D) Day 10: Batik workshop in Bali, shopping and visits to traditional craft centers. (B,L,D) Day 11: Visit to several Balinese temples, traditional balinese dance performance and traditional dinner (B,L,D) Day 12: Free time, relax at beach resort (B,L,D) Day 13: Return to USA (B) TRIP INCLUDES: Airfare from LA to Indonesia and all local flights within Indonesia. 4 Star hotel accomodation.
