Jalie 2911 Pullover with Hood with Contrast Lining Tutorial By Jerigirl 1. Gather your lining fabric and outer fabric for the hood. In this example the blue velour is the outer fabric and the camo print is the lining fabric. From pattern piece E, you will cut 2 pieces from the outer fabric and 2 pieces from the lining fabric. In this case you will NOT be cutting on the fold as the pattern directs. Instead add a ¼ inch seam allowance to the foldline edge of the pattern piece. (I will call this the long edge.) Outer Fabric Lining Fabric 2. Sew one piece of outer fabric to one piece of lining fabric right sides together (RST) along the long edge. Open and press the seam to one side. Repeat with the second outer and lining pieces. 3. Now you essentially have the hood pieces described in the pattern instructions. Take the two hood pieces and sew them RST along the curved edge. 4. Fold the hood piece in half and sew along the curved edge. 5. Turn hood right side out. It will be connected at the center seam. 6. Now you are ready to continue with the pattern instructions as directed. Copyright © 2011 by Sewing Mamas LLC, sewingmamas.com. All rights reserved.
