It is often difficult for us to understand why or how we
sometimes end up on the wrong path when our intentions
come from our heart. Fr. John Struzzo,CSC, answered
God’s call to be His priest in the Congregation of the Holy
Cross 47 years ago. He received his calling with great zeal
obtaining a doctorate in Sociology, and a Post-Doctorate in
Marriage and Family Therapy and Individual
Psychotherapy. Highly educated, he truly believed he
could better serve the church with a more liberal curve in
his walk of faith. “You were doing so well; who diverted you from the
path of truth?” Gal 5:7. Unexpectedly, through the mantle of
love and protection of our Blessed Mother and prayers of
the faithful praying for our priests, Fr. Struzzo experienced
“the heart of reconversion”. He more clearly perceived
God’s Call to boldly preach the truth in love. Most recently,
he has been involved in inner healing and deliverance
ministry.
