How to setup a guest network
What is a guest network?
A guest network is a function where the wireless router creates an aditional wireless network
that only gives access to the internet.
Devices (computer, tablet etc.) that connect to the guest network will not have access to any
local resources that are connected to router by cable or the ordinary wireless network.
As an option you can limit the troughput speed of the guest network.
(You can select between 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50Mbps or unlimited)
The guest network function is available for AirLink 3000DG v1/v2 and AirLink 5000AC (running firmware 1.03 or newer.)
AL3000DG and AL5000AC is dual-band router which mean it have two radios (2.4 and 5GHz)
You can setup a guest network for both of this bands.

1. Log into router menu by entering the IP address for your model in a web browser.
If you have AirLink 3000DG please use this IP address: http://192.168.0.1
If you have AirLink 5000AC please use this IP address: http://192.168.38.1
You shall see a login window asking for a login username and password.
- Username = admin
- Password = 1234
(Default, please use your own password if you have changed it)
2. Click Advanced Menu
3. Click Advanced Settings -> 2.4GHz Wireless or 5GHz Wireless -> Guest Network
(depending which of this frequency you want to setup the guest network for.)

Set «Guest Network» to Enable to activate the function.

Enter a name for the guest network.
Please do not use space or any other special characters in the name.

Select the bandwidth limit of the guest network.

You can choose to setup the guest network as an open or secured wireless network.
- If you want an open one, then select None.
- If you want to setup a secure guest network, then select WPA Pre-Shared key + WPA(AES)
and enter an at least an 8 digit password in the Pre-shared key area.

Click Apply (+ Apply again) to save settings.
The router will performe a reboot (takes about 30 seconds).
The setup is now complete and the guest network is ready for use.
If you want to add a guest network for the other band (2.4 or 5Ghz), then please follow
the guide again to setup the last one.
