Molinari Sambuca is the OLDEST commercial Sambuca in the world
Molinari Sambuca is the OLDEST commercial Sambuca in the world. It was launched in 1945 by Angelo Molinari, a well-‐
respected blender of wines and spirits, who created what was to become one of Italy’s most celebrated materpieces – a smooth, rich, full-‐bodied liqueur inspired by the centuries old tradition in Italy of anise-‐based liqueurs coming from the Mediterranean. Molinari Sambuca is made in the Italian port of Civitavecchia, which is located about 45 miles north of Rome. The company is still owned and operated by the Molinari Family. Only one member of the family is entrusted with the secret formula to blend Sambuca Extra. Molinari is the only Sambuca with the EXTRA designation – given to them by the Supreme Court for its choice of ingredients and its consistently superior quality 84 Proof (42% alcohol by volume) Ultimate Italian Espresso Martini
