SLATE AND STEEL
Steel and hundred year old slate roofs are the essence of this exclusive
collection of tables.
Architectural buildings from the 19th century were often equipped with
beautiful slate roofs. As these unique roofs are now being replaced
designer Bente Rübner has found a unique new use for these fantastic
roof plates. The slate is solicitously selected, cut up into tiles and sorted
– all by hand – and is transformed into exclusive tables with a beautiful
minimalistic design. It is Danish furniture design at its best.

ABOUT SLATE
Slate is a natural material created more than 400 million years ago. In
the course of time deposits of quartz, micaceous sands and clay
exposed to immense pressure and heat has turned into stone with a
layered structure that makes it cleavable into tiles.
In the mid 1800s slate was widely used for roofs on beautiful houses
through out Denmark. The slate used came from open slate quarries in
Wales. This slate is now being recycled and used to produce the
beautiful Rübner slate tables.

Slate is a natural material that is influenced by its surroundings, wind,
weather and locality. No two plates of slate are alike. Thus each table

DINING TABLE WITH UP TO 4 PLATES
TURN180 dining tables are designed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 individual plates
and are available in width 80 or 100 cm and in lengths ranging from 80 to
240 cm.
The plates are available in the colour combinations: Graphic

Appearance and atmosphere can be changed according to desire.
The tabletop of TURN180 is made of Compact Laminate. The material
used in Rübner Compact Laminate is paper. Each tabletop consists of
160 sheets of very thin Kraft paper, which is glued together and bonded
under high pressure, using resin, another natural product.
To secure optimal wear resistance and easy maintenance the outer
layers of paper are impregnated with melamine, which has the added
bonus of giving the table top its unique sheen and strength.

Cleaning and care agent for maintenance of linoleum desktops.

Use:
Rübner Linoleum is easily maintained. For daily care use a damp cloth. Every once in a while use Rübner Linoleum Care to maintain the organic
quality of the surface.
Warning: Do not use any form of de-greasing detergents as they will ruin the organic surface of the linoleum.
Contains:
Natural soap cleansing agent and water. 15-30% soap. Less than 5% nonionic tensides.
PH-value neutral.
Rübner CompactLaminate Care
Cleaning and care agent for maintainance of compact laminate desktops.
1 bottle of Rübner Compact Laminate Care. Sold in boxes with 6 pcs.
Use:
Rübner TURN180 CompactLaminate is easy to care for. For daily care use a damp cloth with ordinary washing-up liquid or Rübner CompactLaminate
Care Liquid. Shake bottle before use. Spray directly on the surface. Leave for a minute or two. Dry with soft cloth.
Contains:
Complexing agent, silicate, nonionic-anionic tenside, perfume, real wax in liquid solution.
Rübner Slate Care
Daily care
The slate is easily cared for with a damp cloth and soap.
Never expose the table to:
* Scratching with sharp objects
* Fat & oil stains (blot stain immediately)
* Acid
Scratches to the tiles can be removed by using fine sand paper, and then a damp cloth.
Oil stains can be removed by applying slate oil to the entire table top, giving the table a darker more uniform look.
Characteristic
No two Rübner Slate tables are alike. They are all made from recycled slate stone roof tiles but since they have all been exposed to wind and weather
for up to 150 years they will differ from location to location.
Please note that since slate is a natural product incapsuled pieces of iron and other materials can occur. These variations in the the slate is not
accepted as a reason for claims.
