Re: 1ST JDSA OPEN DANCESPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012
We are great pleasure to inform you that the 1st JDSA Open DanceSport
Championships 2012 supported by Ministry of Youth & Sport, National Sports Council
and Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF), organised by Johor DanceSport
Association (JDSA) will be held on Sunday 27th of May 2012 at the Siang Hai
Recreation Centre. Address: 88, Jln Dato Haji Mohd Noah, Kg. Abdullah, 85000

1. Entry Forms/Competition Events
All are invited to participate in the championship which will feature Grade C, Grade D,
Grade E, Master, Junior and Juvenile events for both Standard & Latin categories and
the Junior All Girls and Solo Girls Latin events. Enclosed herewith are the entry form
together with the competition rules and regulations for your reference and usage. All
entry forms must send us by email before 5th of May 2012.
Please note that Grade E and Juvenile couples strictly adhered to Syllabus Figures.
2. Official Hotel
Booking of hotel room at special rate can be arranged through the Organiser on a nonrefundable pre-paid basis.
3. Dinner Tickets
Dinners tickets are available on first come first serve basis at the following prices:
Ringside (10 pax per table)
RM700.00 per table
2nd Row (10 pax per table)
RM500.00 per table
The dinner ticket price is inclusive of a full-course Chinese dinner and it would be
appreciated if bookings are made early to avoid disappointment.

Malaysia competitors – please enclose payment with your entry form.
Overseas competitors – are to make payment upon collection of number tags
on the day of the competition.

COMPETITION RULES
1.
All competitors must be a member of WDSF National bodies, MYDF State Bodies and
Associate Members.
2.
By signing this form, participant(s) would have deemed to agree to the MYDF/JDSA Rules.
3.
Age limits are taken during the calendar year 2012.
4.
Adult competitors must be 16 years old and above. For partnerships of different ages, the
order age will be taken into consideration. Master competitors, man must be 45 years and
above and the lady must be 35 years and above.
5.
No change of partner is allowed in the same event.
6.
All competitors must be dressed in appropriate costumes as specified in the WDSF Dress
Regulations
7.
All competitors must attend rehearsals as requested by the Championship Organisers.
8.
All competitors must be present for their events on time. Late comers will be disqualified.
9.
The Championship Organiser reserves the right to change the programme of events without
prior notice.
10.
The Championship Organiser will not accept any liability, claims for injuries, damage or loss
suffered by the competitors.
11.
The judges’ decision shall be final.
12.
In the event of any question or matter arising out of any point which is not expressively
provided for in the rules, the Championship Organiser shall have the power to use its own
discretion.
13.
In the event of Production of a Video Recording for commercial purposes of any part of the
Championship, all Competitors agree that the right to any fees from such video recording will
vest solely with Johor DanceSport Association. No competitors or Associations shall have any
claim against the Organiser, video producer at any such event.
14.
Advertising on competition dress is allowed subject to WDSF Rules.
