Safety-engineered lancet for enhanced patient and staff safety The Clinical Challenge: Staff and patient safety is a top concern for every healthcare facility. Press blue button. 2 1 Remove blue sterility cap with a simple twist. Safety mechanisms: Before use Cleanse the puncture site according to your facility’s protocols, then gently hold lancet against side of fingertip (middle or ring finger is recommended2) and press blue button to activate. Excess pressure on the finger should be avoided. Properly discard the lancet and cap after use. After the blue button is depressed, the spring-loaded firing action breaks the safety tabs to prevent reuse.
