Each season we try to expand our horizons and offer new itineraries, new ports and new experiences that are enticing to both
returning guests and first-time Star Clippers adventurers. Our ships are small and intimate, so we can visit places not often
found on cruise ship schedules. The hidden gems and unspoiled resort towns ... those calls that make each guest feel like they
are visiting somewhere unique and special.
The 2014 Europe season certainly delivers those experiences with several new itineraries on Star Flyer throughout the
western Mediterranean. Sailing round-trip from chic ports like Monte Carlo and Cannes, or from exotic ports like Palma de
Mallorca, attire for the day usually involves swim wear, a sun hat and plenty of sunscreen. If you’re a Formula One buff, be
sure to join us in May for two sailings as we’re front and center for the Monaco Grand Prix.
During the rest of the season, get ready for calls throughout the Balearic Islands that feature the finest beaches, memorable
stretches of landscape and crystalline waters like you’ve never seen. If you’re looking to relax and get away from a hectic
lifestyle, these itineraries are for you.
Royal Clipper and Star Clipper join their sister-ship in the Mediterranean once again, covering the entire area on eastern
and western itineraries. Royal Clipper continues its Italy, Montenegro and Croatia sailings, which are among our most
popular. For guests with less time to get away, three sampler voyages are sure to give you a taste of the Star Clippers lifestyle.
Greece and Turkey continue to welcome Star Clipper, making these voyages the ideal option for guests looking for a perfect
combination of history, culture and fun-in-the-sun.

Star Clipper and Star Flyer are modern cruise ships in every way, created

long and each carries just 170 guests in pampered comfort. Life aboard is
blissfully relaxed, much like traveling on a private yacht. You’ll never feel

two swimming pools. In fact, you’ll find that these ships offer more outdoor

So rather than enduring another Broadway revue, you can enjoy the
conviviality of fellow shipmates while a live band plays tropical tunes
from a real paradise. The Captain and crew are superb improvisers of
the kind of light-hearted fun you’ll only find on Star Clippers. The
Captain’s daily briefing on deck is wonderfully informative and a chance
to hear some great story-telling as well. And there are other events and
activities, such as knot tying and navigation classes, that have evolved
from Star Clippers’ sailing heritage. In fact, our passengers tell us that

toasted English muffins or sweet Danish pastries. Or savor a full breakfast
with fresh tropical fruits and crisp bacon, grilled sausage and omelettes
cooked to order in the dining room.
At lunch, a marvelous buffet of seafood, salads and grilled favorites
awaits your pleasure. If the day includes a stop at one of the paradisiacal
islands we frequent, you might also be treated to a festive outdoor
barbecue on shore.
When evening comes, our elegantly appointed dining room, featuring a
splendid collection of paintings of sailing ships, becomes the setting for the
chef’s finest culinary presentations, designed to please the eye and the palate.
And complemented by equally fine wines. You’ll find our service to be friendly
and gracious, befitting a tasteful restaurant. Of course, we would not presume
to dictate your seating preferences. On all three ships, you are free to dine
when and with whomever you wish – including officers, who join our guests in
the dining room most nights. The dress code? No need for formal gowns and
black tie, casual elegance is the order of the day and every single night.

that can be converted to queen, marble bathroom, private safe, television

The French Riviera, Captivating Corsica

Yachts ranging in size from modest to mammoth fll the harbor. One of
the world’s grandest casinos welcomes visitors from around the globe.
Tucked between French medieval villages and the Alps, Monte Carlo is the
playground of the rich and famous, and the new summer homeport of Star
Flyer. This dazzling city is known as one of opulence and extravagance, with
an exciting collection of sites, favors and attractions. Star Flyer will be front
and center during the Grand Prix in May, one of the most breathtaking sport
spectacles of the year.
As the ship explores the western Mediterranean, the beautiful Balearic Islands
take center stage with their crystalline waters, golden beaches and serene lifestyle.
Each of the four islands has its own distinct personality ranging from laid-back to
lively. Mallorca is picturesque and Menorca is tranquil, while Ibiza is known to
have thrown a good party or two. Formentera is relaxed and inviting.
Rich in history and scenic diversity, Corsica is for beach lovers, adventurers
and culture buffs. The birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte and Christopher
Columbus, Corsica is endowed with Roman ruins and quiet fshing villages.
Resembling a miniature continent, its stretches of shoreline jut out of the sea
like a fortress.
Hugging the coast, Star Flyer makes an appearance at the hottest ports along
the French Riviera. From chic St. Tropez with fashionista sun-worshippers to
Cannes, home to the world-famous flm festival, the ship’s stunning silhouette
adds to the region’s charm.

Their craggy faces are etched by long days at sea, toiling under
the same sun that rose and set for eons over their ancestors …
-------8-------Long ago, these islands were the landing places of an endless tide
of invaders from far-off lands. From ancient Phoenicia, Persia, the
Peloponnesus, Imperial Rome and Constantinople they came, followed
by waves of European Crusader knights, Genoan mariners, Venetian
merchants and turbanned Turkish troops of the Ottoman Empire. They
stormed ashore to conquer – only to be vanquished by time and absorbed
into the dry volcanic earth. All that remains are their stone ruins, ghostly
shapes wrapped in myth and mystery.
Today the Cyclades are an inviting playground for pleasure seekers
aboard Star Clipper. Where white-washed churches point tilted Greek crosses
heavenward in skies of brilliant blue, while sun worshippers bask on the
beaches under Helios’ golden gaze. Twisting cobblestone alleyways lead to
tavernas where octopus salad and ouzo are in order. Ancient Minoan palaces
and medieval fortresses whisper tales of pagan rites and knightly rituals.
In hidden coves, Star Clipper fnds harbors where pristine sands and
warm crystalline waters beckon you to explore underwater grottos while
beachgoers laze away under sun-blessed skies, yet another dream-like day in
the mythic, magical Cyclades.
After exploring the historic Cyclades, two Star Clipper sailings continue
up the Adriatic Sea to Venice. Before reaching Venice, you’ll explore four
alluring stops along the coast of Croatia and a call at Kotor, Montenegro.

This four-night journey will reveal the origins of

to Greece’s sprawling capital takes place as our

This two-night exploration takes you to one of
the most vibrant, mystifying and oldest cities
in the world: Istanbul. Discover Hippodrome
Square, St. Sophia, the Underground Cistern and
the famous Blue Mosque with its glorious minarets that dominate the city skyline. After lunch
at the historical Sultanahmet Meatball Eatery —
one of the oldest restaurants in Istanbul — visit
the Grand Bazaar for the shopping experience of
a lifetime. Weave your way through the labyrinth
of shops and enjoy bargaining for silver, jewelry,
leather goods, carpets, antiques, copper and more!
This wide-ranging six-night tour takes you to
the most important sites in ancient Greece.
Spend two days in Athens visiting the Acropolis
and the Agora. Travel to the ancient port city
of Navplion with its medieval fortress and
Epidaurus’ acoustically perfect amphitheater. Visit
the Temple of Zeus and the huge Stadium, where
40,000 spectators gathered to watch athletes
compete. Drive into the hills of Delphi, where
a natural amphitheater is situated at the foot of
Mount Parnassos. Then spend a day in Athens

the Trojan War. In Gallipoli (Gelibolu), the
bodies of 22,000 Allied forces lie buried, the
result of Ataturk’s ferce attack on Anzac troops
in one of the bloodiest battles of World War I.
Nearby Troy (Truva), uncovered by archeologist
Heinrich Schliemann in 1871, was of course the
site of the most famous siege in history. Time has
eroded most of the 3,500-year-old ruins, but you

The British have a soft spot in their hearts
for Madeira. Since before the Napoleonic
Wars, Funchal has been a favorite R&R stop
for British holidaymakers. Madeira’s terrain
is impossibly steep, interrupted frequently
by cascading waterfalls and covered in lush
greenery and fowers. Everyone who visits
Madeira has to take the careening sled ride
from Monte to Funchal.
Gibraltar
Known for its famous rock, the British territory of
Gibraltar lies at the tip of the Iberian Peninsula,
offering stunning views of Algeciras Bay and the
Moroccan mountains. Take a cable car to the
top of the rock and stop along the way to see the
Barbary apes, or enjoy a day at the beach.

From behind high walled gardens, the sweet scent
of jasmine wafts into the air of Hammamet, to
mix with the tantalizing aroma of spices and
leather in the souks of the old medina. Situated
just south of the Cap Bon Peninsular, this “St.
Tropez of Tunisia” has been a favoured haunt of
celebrated visitors from the 1920’s. Today, in
addition to bargains in the bazaars, it’s the fabulous
beaches that attract visitors, plus the chance to
tour Carthage.

The heavenly scent of lavender perfumes the
air in the felds and valleys around the island of
Hvar. Idyllically located just off the Dalmatian
coast, the island and the little port named after it
have been a favorite getaway ever since the time
of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians
and even Austro-Hungarian royalty.

Hydra is a town of stately mansions all built
around 1800 by blockade runners who had
made fortunes outwitting the British during the
Napoleonic Wars. As there are no cars, to see
the spectacular view from the Monastery of Ilias
you’ll have to ride a donkey to the top.

Ibiza is a place where people hang out because

The beach at little Katakolon is an inviting
diversion, but you will surely want to go inland
to Olympia for bigger game. Set in a stunningly
lovely valley overlooked by Kronos Hill, Olympia
began hosting athletic games in the 11th century
BC. Walk through the sacred Temples of Zeus
and Hera, stand on the still-visible starting line
in the stadium and imagine the chariots about to
hurtle around the Hippodrome.

Framed by dense green forests of allepo pine and
twisted cypress, the red tile roofs of Korcula, whose
most famous native son was Marco Polo, form an
inviting picture. The pale wheat-colored stone
Cathedral of St. Mark houses a treasure trove
of Dalmatian and Italian art. Walk through the
towering Land Gate for a great view of the town.
Kos, Greece
Kos was the home of Hippocrates, and near the old
Kastro (castle) of the Knights of St. John there stands
an ancient plane tree which is purported to be from
the time of the famous physician. Kos abounds with
famous ruins, but perhaps the best known is the
Asklepian, where Hippocrates taught the healing
arts. Known for its curative powers and featuring
therapeutic treatments and a soothing environment,
it was the original model for today’s spas.
Kotor, Boka fjord, Montenegro
This stunning rock-walled chasm splitting the
coastal mountains of Montenegro is the longest
arm of the sea in Southern Europe. Boka harbors
one of the prettiest unspoiled towns you’ll ever
see, the medieval city of Kotor. Founded by the
Romans, fortifed during the Byzantine era, then

ruled by Venice for much of its history, Kotor has
been naturally preserved by its isolation.

Kusadasi is a popular Turkish port of call, as
not only is it a bustling resort town full of

site at Ephesus. Extensive excavations have
revealed an ancient city through which visitors
can now wander and observe the wonders of a
bygone civilization.

colonial ambience is a favorite stopping place
for yachts crossing the Atlantic. Visit the Casa

Park. Its lunar landscape and exotic vegetation
take you to a new world.

Lord Byron, a Lerici literary resident, once swam
across what is now called the “Golfo dei Poeti.” The
small fshing villages of San Terenzo, Tellaro and
Fiascherino and Montemarcello are similar to the

Italy’s seven volcanic Aeolian Islands, just off
the north coast of Sicily, are obviously a place
favored by the gods. In Lipari, climb narrow
streets to the medieval castello and enjoy

Clipper sail past Isola Strómboli, watch the sky
for frequent volcanic freworks.

The capital of Portugal since its conquest from
the Moors in 1147, Lisbon is a legendary city
with over 20 centuries of history. Spreading out
along the right bank of the Tagus, its downtown,
the Baixa, is located in the 18th-century area
around Rossio. The Alfama, one of the oldest
quarters in Lisboa, still retains much of its
original layout since it largely survived the
earthquake of 1755.

Crowded with yachts fying burgees hailing from
the world’s most prestigious yacht clubs, the harbor
of St. Florent is a regatta of colours. Take an excursion to the peninsula of Cap Corse, where medieval

You can see why Lord Nelson choose this spot
as the base for the British Mediterranean feet
during the Napoleonic Wars. Imagine dozens of
ships of the line being ftted out for battle in this
historic harbor. Mahon’s heritage also includes
the invention of mayonnaise and the frst
distillation of gin from juniper berries.

Malaga’s fortress palace of the Alcazaba and the
Castillo de Gibralfaro are splendid examples of
Moorish architecture. But it is in Granada that
you can see the most romantic and magnifcent
expression of the Arabesque style in the glorious
Alhambra Palace.
Mali losinj, croatia
The warm sands of Cikat Bay are an irresistible
magnet for beachgoers. And no wonder, the
beach is 30 kilometers long and offers every
watersport imaginable. In the fortifed town of
Veli Losinj, climb the 16th-century tower and
hear the history of the Uskoks, warrior refugees
from the Turkish invasion who fed in 1526
to the coastal islands to start new lives under
Hapsburg protection.
Monemvasia, Greece
From the shore, it’s a big rock sticking out into
the sea. Then you pass over the causeway, and
through an iron fortress gate, and suddenly, the
town of Monemvasia is before you, a perfectly
preserved Byzantine fortifed port, once 60,000
strong, now home to just a few hundred. You can
readily see why the name Monemvasia means
single entrance! In the rocky hills above, ancient
Byzantine ruins loom over the town, while below
a maze of red tiled roofs and twisting alleys hide
tavernas and cafes and the home of revered Greek
poet Yannis Ritsos.

Monaco is the fabled domain of princes and movie
stars. The magnifcent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos remind you of an elegant, pre-war era.

volcanic soils. The town of Myrina sits under
the winding white ramparts of the Kastro, built
in 1186.
ouranoupolis, Greece
The picturesque village of Ouranoupolis, “City
of the Heavens,” lies at the threshold of the
unique community of Mount Athos. Its imposing
landmark, the fortifed Byzantine tower that
nests on the rocks at the seafront, is the largest
monumental structure in Halkidiki. The beauty
of Ouranoupolis is in its long sandy beaches, the
lonesome coves and the deserted islets waiting to
be discovered.

Towering over the harbor, Palma’s enormous
Gothic cathedral is a powerful symbol of the
religious fervor that gripped all of Spain shortly
after the defeat of the Moors. Built by Jaumé I,
its vast open nave and soaring Gothic columns

the cathedral, a maze of twisting streets leads to
designer boutiques and open-air markets.

Nestled on the Costa Brava, guests can soak
up the sun and relax on one of the area’s many

Catalan culture better by sampling some fresh

The second largest of the Pontine Islands,
Palmarola is located west of Italy. Its rocky coast
is highlighted by the stack of Mezzogiorno and
Punta Vardella, located at the southeastern tip
of the island. Visit the San Silverio Shrine with
a view that overlooks the ocean or dive in the
crystal-clear sea teaming with fsh.
pantelleria, Italy
Only 35 miles from the shoulder of Africa,
Pantelleria hasn’t been discovered by tourists.
However, celebrities such as Madonna and
Georgio Armani have made it their destination. The island’s volcanic landscape has
no beaches, but there are fascinating marine
grottoes, hot springs and even a natural sauna.
The fishing village of Gadir contains several
of the distinctive dome-topped houses called
dammuso and the hills are dotted with strange
Neolithic funeral mounds called sesi.

This serene island is known as the site of the
apocalyptic revelations of St. John the Divine.
The cave where he is said to have lived is now the
site of the Monastery of the Apocalypse. It houses
priceless icons and manuscripts in its treasury.

Homer’s “Wise King Nestor” was very wise indeed
to build his magnifcent palace near Pilos. For

were in constant confict with the Greeks,
who defeated their conquest of Sicily, and
then Rome, culminating in the Punic Wars.
Hannibal’s crossing of the Alps and attempted
invasion of Rome ended in Carthage’s fnal
defeat in 146 BC. But confict came to
Carthage again in the 20th century. Nearby lies
a Cemetery holding 2841 North American war
dead from WWII.
Valletta, Malta
The Knights of St. John put Malta on the map
in 1565 when they withstood an invasion of
30,000 Turks with only 700 Knights. For that
a grateful Europe gave them the means to
build the city of Valleta. And a beautiful city
it is. See the graves of the Knights guarded by
masterpieces by Caravaggio in the imposing
St. John’s Co-Cathedral. Marvel at frescos in
the Palace of the Grand Knights. Or drive to the
ancient ruins of Hagar Qim, where Neolithic
temples more than 5,500 years old are believed
to be the oldest human structures on earth.

require an overnight stay in order to reach your embarkation and/or disembarkation destination. The hotel and
other expenses associated with required overnight stays are
the responsibility of the passenger. Star Clippers Americas
airfares are based on capacity-controlled contracts, promotional or group fares, so make your requests as early as possible to ensure availability. If contract fares are not available, passengers will be charged the difference between
the contract rate and the actual airfare available. Some
airlines will allow you to accumulate air miles with the
air tickets that Star Clippers Americas provides. Please
check with the airline. No upgrades to first or business

writing. The minimum non-refundable custom-air/deviation charge is $100 per person plus any additional airfare
incurred. Additional change requests will be subject to a
new non-refundable custom-air/deviation charge of $100
per person. The passenger will be responsible for any additional airfare related to the requested change. our ability
to confirm requests will depend on airline availability and
advance notice of the request.
PLANNING YoUr VACATIoN
Star Clippers cruises, packages and air/sea program are
best handled by your travel professional who can provide
the services necessary to complete your trip. As cabins are
limited, we suggest that reservations be made as early as
possible to ensure preferred cabin category. Star Clippers
Americas reserves the right to deny the sale of a cabin for
less than the stated capacity.
TrAVEL rEqUIrEmENTS
All passengers are required to have valid passports. Visas
may be required for certain ports visited. Without the
proper entry requirements, passengers may not be able
to disembark in certain ports of call. All travel documents such as passports, visas, proof of citizenship, etc.,
required for disembarkation at various ports of call are the
responsibility of the passenger. Consult your consulate to
determine documentary requirements or entry permits.
Passengers will not be permitted to sail without proper
documentation and no refund of cruise fare will be given
to any passenger failing to bring such documentation.
Please note that passengers’ names must be exactly as they
appear on their passport.

The atmosphere on the ship is very relaxed and casual. For
daytime wear, walking shorts, bathing attire with coverups, skirts, light pants and hats are recommended. In the
evening, sun dresses, skirts, or slacks for women and slacks

are not required. Shorts or t-shirts are not to be worn in
the dining room in the evening.

luggage are hand carried. Neither Star Clippers, Ltd. nor
Star Clippers Americas is responsible for any loss, theft or
damage to passenger’s luggage or personal property. Any
liability for loss or damage to luggage or personal property
is limited to the terms and conditions specified on the
cruise ticket.
EmBArkATIoN
during embarkation, all passengers must have in his/her
possession a cruise ticket, valid passport, and visas (where
necessary). Embarkation times are included in cruise
documents (generally four hours prior to departure time).
Passengers must be on board the ship no later than one
hour prior to sailing. If all passengers are on board prior to
the scheduled departure time, the ship may sail early.
GrATUITIES
Gratuities on board the ship are not included in Cruise
rates and are at the sole discretion of each guest based
on the level of services performed. However, we are often
asked by our guests for guidance regarding gratuities, and
we suggest gratuities of 8 euros per guest per day.
VISITorS
We regret, for security considerations, no visitors will be
allowed on board.
CHILdrEN
Children are welcome on Star Clippers. While there is
no structured program providing supervision and care for
young children, they are invited to participate in shipboard activities suited to their ability. Children under the
age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
ALCoHoLIC BEVErAGES
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages
for consumption on board the ship. Alcoholic beverages
purchased in ports of call will be retained and returned at
the end of the voyage.
PETS
Pets are not permitted on board Star Clippers, Ltd.’s vessels.

CanCellations and Refunds
for full refund of cruise fare, notice of cancellation must
be in writing and received by star Clippers americas no
later than one-hundred twenty (120) days prior to sailing. if a cancellation occurs, the following charges will be
assessed:
119-75 days prior to departure = $400 per person
74-60 days prior to departure = 50% of cruise fare
59-30 days prior to departure = 75% of cruise fare
29 days or less prior to departure = no refund
ing are at the passenger’s own risk. neither star Clippers
americas nor star Clippers, ltd. owns or controls any
airlines, ground transportation or hotels. as a convenience
to our passengers, star Clippers americas may sell tickets
for shore excursions or arrange other services which are
operated by independent contractors, but neither star
Clippers, ltd. nor star Clippers americas shall be responsible in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury or
death arising in conjunction with the services provided by
these independent contractors.
Refunds will normally be made to the booking party.
Cruise and air tickets must be returned prior to any
refunds being processed. star Clippers americas can only
be responsible for refunding amounts actually received. if
cancellation fees are charged by air carriers, pre/post hotels
or suppliers, they will be deducted from any refund made.
no refunds will be made to passengers who do not board
the ship or passengers who cancel after the start of the
cruise.
fuel suRChaRge
no fuel surcharge is in effect at the time of printing this
brochure. star Clippers reserves the right to impose a fuel
surcharge, without prior notice, on all guests if the price
of light sweet Crude oil according to the nymeX (new
york mercantile exchange index) exceeds usd $80 per
barrel of oil. the fuel surcharge for guests should not be
more than $10 per guest per day. no right of cancellation
exists under any circumstance due to the charging of fuel
surcharges.
Rights ReseRved & limits of Responsibility
the transportation of passengers and baggage is governed
by the terms and conditions of the Contract of Carriage
contained in the cruise ticket. the passenger’s acceptance
of the ticket contract and acceptance of passage on the
vessel constitutes acceptance of the terms, conditions and
information contained in this document and the cruise
ticket. it is recommended that you read the terms carefully.
speCial oCCasions
passengers celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon
or other special occasion during their cruise should advise
their travel professional or star Clippers americas at the
time of booking.
star Clippers, ltd. reserves the right at its sole option
and discretion and that of the Captain of the ship without liability for damages or refund of any kind to deviate
from the ship’s advertised or ordinary itinerary or route,
to delay, advance or cancel any sailing, to omit or change
ports of call and may, but is not obliged to, arrange for substantially equivalent transportation by another vessel and/
or by other means of transportation, to cause the passenger
to disembark from the ship temporarily or permanently,
to tow or to be towed or assist other vessels, or to perform
any similar act which, in its sole judgement and discretion,
is justified for any reason.
star Clippers, ltd. or star Clippers americas may for any
reason whatsoever cancel any sailing at any time before
departure of the ship including the event of a full-ship
charter. in such events, star Clippers’ only liability will be
to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for
the cruise ticket.

limit of liability
star Clippers, ltd.’s liability and responsibility does not
extend beyond the vessel; any arrangements made by or
for passengers either before boarding or when disembark-
mediCal Condition/physiCal disabilities
in order to ensure that the Carrier is able to carry
passengers safely and in accordance with applicable safety
requirements established by international, eu or national
law, or in order to meet safety requirements established
by competent authorities including the ship’s flag state,
the passenger making the booking represents that all
passengers in the booking are fit to travel. star Clippers
americas recommends that physically disabled passengers
travel with someone who is able to assist them both on
board and ashore. our vessels do not have elevators or
ramps, and access to land is often via ship’s launches. star
Clippers, ltd. reserves the right to refuse or revoke passage
to anyone who, in its judgement, is unfit to travel due to
a physical or mental condition or who may require care
beyond that which can be provided by star Clippers, ltd.
star Clippers, ltd. regards third trimester pregnancy as a
travel risk and reserves the right to refuse passage to pregnant women. star Clippers, ltd. will not be responsible
or liable for any complications relative to such pregnancy
arising or occurring during the entire cruise vacation.
mediCal seRviCes
a qualified physician or registered nurse is either on staff
or is available from shore. in addition, the ship’s officers
are qualified in administering first aid. should a passenger
require hospital treatment, the ship is almost always near
a medical facility on shore. passengers requiring prescription medications are advised to bring them on board. only

a few over-the-counter medications are available at the
sloop shop.
peRsonal funds and CRedit CaRds
each passenger will receive a personalized identification
card that will be used to charge services and products
provided on board the ship. the identification cards
must be presented each time a passenger boards the ship.
passengers are advised to carry their identification card
with them at all times. each account can be settled in
cash, travelers checks or credit card the final day of the
cruise. the following credit cards are accepted: visa,
masterCard and american express. personal checks and
discover are not accepted onboard. all onboard charges
are in euros.
telephone CommuniCations
Cabins are equipped with a direct-dial telephone that passengers can use while at sea. all calls will be billed to their
onboard account. should someone wish to contact a passenger at sea, they may do so by calling the star Clippers
americas office and the information will be forwarded to
the ship. passengers contacted from shore via fax will be
charged onboard.
smoking / non-smoking
please note that no smoking is allowed inside the ship or
on the aft deck. however, there are designated smoking
areas in the tropical bar and on the sun deck.
WateRspoRts
all passengers have access to our watersports program
which includes: snorkeling, ssunfish sailing, waterskiing,
and windsurfing. please note: all watersports are complimentary except for sCuba diving. a certification card is
required for sCuba diving.
laundRy seRviCes
laundry services are available at an additional cost and
may be arranged through your room steward. dry cleaning
is not available on star Clipper and star flyer.
CRuise Rates
all fares are quoted in us dollars and are per person based
on double occupancy. fares include: shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, ship’s watersports program
(except sCuba diving), all meals and onboard entertainment. fares do not include: port charges, fuel surcharge,
baggage handling, transfers, optional air/sea or land
programs (unless noted), shore excursions, airport facility
charges, taxes/fees, nor do they include items of a personal
nature such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, gratuities,
gift shop purchases, medical services, phone calls, etc. all
onboard charges are in euros. Cruise rates in this brochure
apply to residents of the united states, Canada and latin
america only.

Port Charges and airPort taxes
Port charges are in addition to the cruise fares and payment
must be made at the time the final payment is due. airport
taxes, including any fuel or facility surcharges, and airport
departure taxes are the responsibility of the passenger.
guarantee of fares
Passengers with confirmed bookings under deposit or who
have made final payment, shall be protected in the event
of a price increase. however, excluding the above, star
Clippers americas reserves the right to increase all prices
appearing in this brochure without prior notice, including port charges, fuel surcharge, airport facility charges,
insurance and taxes/fees. these charges are implemented
by various governments and as such are subject to change
without notice and any increase must be paid by the passenger. information contained in this brochure supersedes
all prior brochures.
single suPPlement rates
a single supplement fare is available at 150% of the
published cruise fare for categories 2-6 selected in the
season in which the passengers are travelling. it is available at 200% for Category 1 cabins, deluxe suites and the
owner’s Cabin or owner’s suites. as a single supplement,
the passenger may choose the cabin and category at the
time of booking. holiday surcharges apply. single space is
capacity controlled.
dePosit and Payment
to secure your reservation, a deposit of $400 per person
is required within 7 days of booking. this option period is
less within 90 days of departure. final payment is required
75 days prior to departure. all payments may be made
by either check, Visa, masterCard, or american express.
only cashier’s check or credit card is accepted on bookings made within two weeks of sailing. Please make checks
payable to star Clippers americas. all reservations are
subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the
due date. group policies may differ.
administratiVe fee
Certain changes made to a reservation within 60 days of
departure will result in a fee of $50 per person. in addition, any costs incurred for changes in land and/or air
arrangements will be the responsibility of the passenger.
upgrade requests made prior to boarding the ship will not
be assessed the change fees, only the balance of the full
cruise tariff for the category selected for the upgrade. this
does not apply to changes in sailing date if penalties have
already been incurred. sailing dates cannot be changed
within the penalty period.
