Dr. Dana Gray became a physician because of her passion
for science as well as her curiosity about the human body and
the diseases that affect us. Her radiology training equipped her
with the skills needed to do what she loved most: figure out why
people are sick. However, one thing that she had always enjoyed
and excelled at was working with people, something not typically
part of a radiologist’s job.

Dr. Gray’s special expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound was a
natural segue into venous and lymphatic medicine, as ultrasound
is integral to both the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins.
Having spent the past few years both practicing radiology and
treating vein disease, she began to feel that she wanted to
devote more of her time and energy to her vein practice.

“I am somewhat of a perfectionist and want to be the best I can
be at everything I do. I truly believe that in order to be great at
something, you can’t just do a little bit here and there. I want to
focus only on veins so that I am always an expert in the field.”
Just shy of a 10-year career in radiology,
Dr. Gray has decided to switch gears
and focus on her vein practice. Her
radiology background will aid her in
pinpointing the exact sources of
venous insufficiency and will also
be helpful in diagnosing non-venous
causes of leg pain and swelling.
Dr. Gray offers a combination
of the following treatments,
individualized for each particular
patient based on their exam
and ultrasound results:
