GOLDEN NUGGET LAS VEGAS ANNOUNCES OPENING
OF NEW RUSH TOWER
$150-million luxury tower will usher in new era of energy and style in downtown Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – Spectacular, contemporary luxury and elegance will soon embrace guests of the highly anticipated
Rush Tower, the newest addition to the legendary Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Scheduled to open on Nov. 20, 2009,
the $150-million development will enhance the historic property’s already unrivaled hotel, gaming and dining
options, and firmly establish the resort as the preferred destination on the Fremont Street Experience, located in the
heart of downtown Las Vegas.
“Rush Tower will now define the ultimate Las Vegas experience providing exceptional accommodations as well as
add to the already supreme dining opportunities and exceed the unparalleled customer service already delivered to
our guests,” said Tilman Fertitta, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Landry’s, Inc.,
which owns the property. “The tower is the latest in our ongoing renovation and expansion projects at the Golden
Nugget, which now total more than $300-million, and which will certainly up the ante for other properties in Las
Vegas.”
Guests arriving at Rush Tower will immediately be taken back by the impressive porté cochere which is accented
by a new, million dollar landscaped entrance at First Street and Carson Street. As visitors enter the spacious lobby,
they will be captivated by the posh furnishings and brilliant, custom-designed lighting which combine to create
an inviting and sophisticated ambiance. Guests will then be greeted by the distinctive, floating reservation desk
offering private check-in service for Rush Tower with a magnificent 75,000-gallon tropical aquarium fish tank as its
backdrop.
After check-in, guests will be escorted to one of the tower’s more than 500 well-appointed guestrooms. The
guestrooms are 20 percent larger than the Golden Nugget’s current North and South standard rooms and offer
exceptional room selections for any occasion. The tower also includes four Penthouse Suites and 70 Junior Corner
Suites, which provide incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip or of the famous Golden Nugget pool. Guestrooms are
furnished with contemporary and sleek décor and complemented by stylish and fiery hues. Standard features include
upgraded pillow-top mattresses, feather down comforters and 42-inch plasma televisions.
Since “man cannot live by bread alone,” Rush Tower entices guests with a superb dining option with the inclusion
of the Chart House Restaurant. The restaurant will feature a new custom-designed menu offering signature Chart
House dishes as well as numerous specialty items unique to the Golden Nugget location. The spacious dining area,
designed with modern furnishings and rich colors inspired by the sea, will seat approximately 200. A 75,000-gallon
tropical aquarium filled with more than 1,000 colorful and exotic fish will be the centerpiece of the restaurant with a
view from the lobby.
During their stay, guests can take full advantage of the warm Las Vegas sun as they relax and enjoy a refreshing
cocktail by The Hideout, the tower’s two-level, infinity-edge pool. Surrounded by six plush cabanas and covered
lounging areas, complete with day beds, this pool area creates the perfect desert oasis. The pool adjoins the third
floor of The Tank, a year round outdoor swimming pool complete with 200,000-gallon, live shark aquarium, which
was voted one of the “Top Ten Pools in the World” by Forbes Traveler.
Guests will enjoy the convenience of the casino located in the lobby of Rush Tower, which expands the Golden
Nugget’s dynamic gaming features by adding popular slot and video poker machines as well as more table games.
A new, upscale retail complex will round out the offerings and will include d’Oro fine watches and jewelry, highend apparel by Nineteen Forty-Six Boutique, tantalizing desserts and confections at the Chocolate Box, and The
Signature Shoppe providing unique souvenirs of the iconic property.
According to Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman, “The debut of the new tower will not only add to the excitement
of the area but will establish Landry’s Restaurants as a leader in the redevelopment of downtown Las Vegas.”

visitors to eat and have a good time,” said Tilman Fertitta, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive

House restaurants are located on the ocean, the Rush Tower restaurant offers oceanfront dining from a new
perspective and its stunning under-the-sea setting is sure to rival locations across the country.”
While the aquarium will provide a feast for the eyes, the menu is just as much a feast for the palate. The restaurant
will feature a new custom-designed menu offering signature Chart House dishes as well as numerous specialty items

HAND OF FAITH STILL CALLS GOLDEN NUGGET HOME
Largest publicly-displayed gold nugget a popular downtown attractive for more than 25 years
LAS VEGAS – The Golden Nugget completed its $100-million renovation of 14 changes in as many months.
However, one thing that remains the same is the “Hand of Faith,” which has been a popular attraction for visitors
from all over the world.
The “Hand of Faith,” the largest known gold nugget on display in the world today, still resides at the legendary
downtown hotel and casino. Discovered in 1980 near the Golden Triangle in Australia, the gold nugget weighs 61
pounds, 11 ounces.
Recently, several smaller gold nuggets from the Golden Nugget’s display were auctioned by Bonhams & Butterfields
in Los Angeles. Auction items included the “Eagle’s Head” nugget, weighing 12 troy ounces, and the “Parrot Head,”
weighing more than 21 troy ounces.
In 1979, these and several smaller nuggets were leased to the Golden Nugget, where they remained on public display
until August 2006. In 1981, the granddaddy nugget of the collection, the “Hand of Faith,” was added to the Golden
Nugget’s display, where it will remain for generations to come.
Currently, the “Hand of Faith” is on display near the Golden Nugget’s North Tower lobby. In 2004, a new display
area was designed and installed to better present the “Hand of Faith,” and continues to be a popular photo spot for
visitors.

LAS VEGAS – The legendary Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino has been transformed, as the $100-million
renovation of the legendary property was unveiled November, 2006.
“The renovation of the property is the largest and most dramatic for the Golden Nugget in more than 20 years,” said

Golden Nugget Las Vegas Completes $6.5 Million Conference Center
Renovation
LAS VEGAS- Golden Nugget Las Vegas invested $6.5 million to transform their 20,000 square foot
Conference Center into a modern business space.
The project was spearheaded by the development team at Landry’s Inc., Golden Nugget’s parent
company, and included a complete overhaul of the existing Conference Center footprint. Renovations
included new flooring, enhanced lighting, new wall coverings, upgraded technology and a state-of-the-art
digital signage system throughout the existing space. This reinvention of the Conference Center now
provides both conference and event organizers with a new and exciting product for their attendees.
The Conference Center now houses 13 breakout rooms, which can then be customized for individual
group needs, as well as the 5,000 square foot Bel Air Room that includes a pre-function foyer.
"This area provides what meeting planners are looking for… easy access, flexibility, and meeting space
that is easy to navigate. You can walk from one end of our Conference Center level to the other in less
than a minute – which is a rarity in Las Vegas." states Michael Toney, Vice President of Sales. "It’s also
the perfect setting for weddings and receptions."
Additional conference space at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas includes the 12,000 square foot Grand
Event Center located on the casino floor.
The renovation also involved a makeover of the Golden Nugget’s building entrance located at the
intersection of Carson Street and First Street. The entrance is steps away from a new cascading staircase
that leads directly to the Conference Center, allowing for an improved traffic flow. Anchoring the
staircase is a beautiful 12,000 pound chandelier made up of 209 glass tubes and designed exclusively for
the Golden Nugget Las Vegas by the Landry’s Inc. development team.
The Golden Nugget remains committed to continuously working to enhance guest’s experiences.
