HOW TO GET TO SIEGEN
• By Train
Siegen can be reached from three directions: Cologne, Frankfurt
and Hagen/Dortmund. There are two train-stations: Siegen Bf
(City Centre) and Siegen-Weidenau Bf (near university).
Detailed information concerning train connections etc. can be
obtained directly from the German Railway Corporation Deutsche
Bahn (www.bahn.de).
• By Plane
The nearest international airports are Frankfurt, Cologne and
Düsseldorf. From there you travel on by train (see above).
• By Car
Siegen is directly connected to the German Motorway (BAB) A 45
and can be reached from Cologne, Frankfurt or Dortmund within a
good one-hour drive.

Special transport for conference participants
A shuttle bus is provided every morning from the Hotel Bürger to the
university.

There is also a special bus which will take us from the university to the
town centre for the conference dinner on Wednesday, 8th October.
Departure at 18.30 h from the University of Siegen bus stop (see the
university map on page 12).
General transport to and from the University
In order to get from the university to the town centre, there are several
possibilities. The easiest way is to take the direct bus from the university
to the central station (L 111). Otherwise you can also take line 121,
interchange at Weidenau and take the R 10 to Siegen Bf (Central station)
which circulates every 10 minutes.
