Bloom by Moon Your free guide Amy Palko Contents Introduction p. 3 Who? p. 4 What? p. 6 How? p. 10 How Much? p. 12 Conclusion p. 13 2 Introduction Do you have a yearning to infuse your everyday life with sacredness? Do you wish that you could honour and celebrate the sacred feminine in a way that resonates with your own beliefs, experiences, and surroundings? I do. And I wonder whether you might want to join me. And thatʼs why I have decided to create Bloom by Moon. I want to craft my own personal connection to the sacred feminine and I want to share that journey with you. I have developed a programme of content, which I believe will help us on our way, which will not only address the significance of each particular moon cycle, but also will introduce some beautiful goddess narratives. Through a combination of story, creative exercise, guided visualization and altar creation, it is my hope that by the end of 2011, we will have created a personal symbology, a deeper connection to the sacred feminine and made some beautiful connections with like-souls. 3 Who? I honestly canʼt tell you if this course is for you. However, what I can tell you is why itʼs for me, and if that resonates with you, well then, Iʼd love you to try it out for yourself! I originally envisioned a course that would be delivered throughout 2011 which would deepen our collective connection to the sacred feminine, but as I started to work out the details, I kept coming up against obstacles. I was trying to connect up the moon cycles to various different cultural interpretations. I considered the Celtic Tree calender, the druidic, the neopagan, and also astrological. But for some reason, nothing seemed to fit. It always felt like I was forcing two parts of a puzzle that didnʼt belong together. It was then that I realized that the reason why they didnʼt fit was because I donʼt want a mediated experience of the sacred feminine. I want to experience it first-hand in a way that has deep personal meaning. 4 I realized I was going to have to craft my own sacred connection that honoured my individuality. But there is comfort to be found in the company of others. I could see that as much as I wanted an individual personal experience, I wanted to share it with a beautifully supportive, aware, reflective community. So, in answer to the question, is Bloom by Moon for you, I would answer… Yes – if you want to explore, create and experience a personal connection to the sacred feminine. Yes – if you like your spirituality unmediated and unfiltered, and you want the freedom to choose exactly what form that will take. Yes – if you want to root your relationship to the sacred feminine in the seasons, in the moon cycles, in the earth. Yes – if you want 2011 to be the year that your sacred self blossoms into beautiful awareness. 5 What? Ok, well, if thatʼs who itʼs for, what exactly is it? To be completely honest, Iʼve never seen anything quite like it, and so describing it is a little difficult! Probably the best way to describe it is a flexible online course meets online community. But that doesnʼt really seem to do it justice. Itʼs a journey. Itʼs a year of honouring & celebrating the goddess. Itʼs the crafting of a new, yet deeply ancient, connection to the sacred feminine. Consisting of 5 different components, delivered on an ongoing basis throughout 2011, Bloom by Moon is designed to take you through each of the moon phases in order to more fully understand your own relationship to 6 your world, and, at the same time, to help you develop a spiritual practice that resonates for you. The Big 5 1. An e-guide exploring the various cultural significance of that particular moon - how others have interpreted that moon and integrated this knowledge into their spiritual practice. The idea of this is not to give you parameters for your own interpretation, but merely to give you some ideas for how you choose to define your own relationship to each particular moon. Take or leave whatever you wish! 2. A goddess story derived from one of the many cultures that have a history of goddess worship. For the first 3 months we are going to focus on the maiden goddesses, the next 3 months will be lover goddesses, the next 3 are mother goddesses and the last 3 are crone goddesses. As with the article, these are designed to give you ideas, but they are not intended to limit your interpretation in any way. 7 3. A guided visualization where you'll be able to communicate directly with the goddess that most resonates with you. The guided visualizations that I have written and delivered in the past have been extremely well received and have resulted in some amazing experiences. In these we will meet the goddess in her various forms and speak directly to her in order to receive what guidance and gifts she wishes to share with us. Deeply special and deeply sacred. 4. Guidance on altar creation and recreation to ensure that you have a physical space in your home that keeps you connected to your spirituality. A key part of designing our spiritual practice, the altar creation will involve collecting items that sing to our spirit, and then devising our own full moon ritual for creating our altar for each particular moon phase. A beautiful daily reminder in our homes of our sacred feminine connection. 5. A reflective exercise that allows you to engage with all the aspects of the moon that have been raised for you personally on your journey through that moon's content. Itʼs so important that we take the time to look back at what weʼve experienced and what weʼve created, because 8 then we can truly evaluate what has resonated, what didnʼt, what patterns are forming, and what messages are coming through. This monthly exercise will help us do just that. In addition to the big 5, I will be providing some delicious journal prompts for you to answer in your journals in response to each article and activity. I want you to have the opportunity to write out your thoughts, make connections, spot patterns and awaken your goddess wisdom. Not only that, but you get the benefit of sharing your experiences with a supportive community of kindred spirits. As with all aspects of this course, itʼs completely up to yourself whether you wish to engage with the community. While the main site is open, the communities are closed. This means that when you join the Ning site, you will be able to see the open discussion threads, but when you purchase access to the individual moon circles, youʼll then be able to interact in the closed discussion threads available. 9 How? The way the course works is this… Access to the Ning site, where the content will primarily be delivered*, will be free and available to all. However, access to the content will need to be purchased, and it will be delivered through the individual moon circles. This means that when you buy a ʻmoonʼ, Iʼll send you an invite to the relevant moon circle/s. Then, on the new moon of each month, I will release the big 5 (e-guide, story, visualization, altar gathering & creation, and reflective exercise). Only those who have purchased access to the circle will be able to download the content, and I would ask that you respect me and my work by not passing it on to others. Once you have the content, itʼs really up to you how you approach it, what order you read it in, etc. However, what follows is a recommendation for how you can structure the content and your response to it… 10 New Moon – Receive content, read synopsis of the moon circle, participate in the discussion forums. Waxing Moon – Read the e-guide and the story, and start the process of collecting items for your altar. Full Moon – Do the guided visualization and create your altar. Waning Moon – Participate in the reflective exercise and share your findings. As already stated, how you choose to approach the material is entirely up to you – this is only a guideline for one possibility. *If you are not familiar with Ning, and you would prefer not to engage in the community there, then I can send you download links to all the content via email. I donʼt want anyone to miss out on this opportunity if they believe it is for them. If you would prefer this option, please specify so in the ʻinstructions to sellerʼ when you pay through Paypal. 11 How Much? I wanted to make this course as accessible as possible, which is why Iʼve priced it as low as I have. Itʼs also why Iʼve given you the following flexible options... • Individual moon = £15 • 3 moons = £42 (Saving £3) • 6 moons = £81 (Saving £9) • 9 moons = £117 (Saving £18) • 11 moons = £137 (Saving £28) I would recommend that you purchase an individual moon in the first instance, to see if itʼs right for you, and then if you find it works for you, buy one of the packages. 12 Conclusion I see myself in a similar role to Hecate as she is described in the Homeric hymn to Demeter. As Demeterʼs daughter Persephone is delivered from the underworld, Hecate is said to both ʻprecede and follow that Ladyʼ. Hecate acts as both guide and witness, and it is this capacity that Iʼm approaching Bloom by Moon. Iʼm here to guide you by providing the materials and by holding a space for your blossoming, and Iʼm here to witness the development of your relationship to the sacred feminine. Itʼs going to be a truly magical journey, and I canʼt wait to see where 2011 is going to take us! Namaste Amy xx 13
