Teacher Leaders

One teacher per grade level/ department (K-12)!

Teacher leaders meet with the Curriculum Director to plan district
professional development days.!

Agendas typically include 1/2 day of district time to support district
wide goals, and 1/2 day of building time to focus on professional
development specific for the needs of a school.
Training began in the summer with Bobby Ashley to support rigor
and relevance in the classrooms.!

2013-2014 Grade level writing plan (Incorporate narrative,
persuasive, opinion, and expository writing projects)!

2014-2015 Grade levels create “Quadrant D” activities to go with
each “Topic” in the new math series, “Envision, Pearson.”!

2014-2015 Technology as a tool to create learning opportunities
that are rigorous and relevant to their lives today. Projects should
be engaging and of interest to students.!
