Jai Shri Mataji
The National Sahaja Yoga Seminar &
Navaratri Puja 2012, Northeast India
It is a great pleasure for us to announce that by the blessings of Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the
National Sahaja Yoga Seminar and Navaratri Puja 2012 (Northeast India) has been scheduled to be held
during 19th, 20th and 21st October at Gayeshpur Amar Jyoti Stadium, Dist. Nadia (near Kolkata), West
Bengal. It makes us a little nostalgic to remember that such a seminar was last held more than 16 years ago
during International Easter Puja (Sakar)-1996. The land of Bengal is,
thus, waiting to quench its thirst to meet thousands of Sahajis from all
over India, which it might have never experienced before. It also
reminds us about International Navaratri Puja (Sakar)-1986 when our
Divine Mother blessed Kolkata, the centre heart (Anahat Chakra) of
the world, with her gracious presence as Shri Mahadevi.
To derive the utmost benefit from this Seminar, all the attending Sahaja
Yogis should aim at imbibing the importance of unity and love within
the Sahaja Yoga Parivaar. Achievement of our spiritual ascent, as well
as gaining deeper state of meditation, shall be the prime motive of this
Seminar. Since the day we received permission from the National
Trust, we have been taking time to finalise the venue. And now, we have been blessed with a beautiful
seminar site amidst a huge stretch of land covered with lush green bushes and soft velvety grasses where we
can accommodate of thousands Yogis and Yoginis with comfortable staying facilities. The seminar will be
preceded by a Public Programme at 6 p.m. on 18th October 2012.
All the Sahajis of North-eastern India are, therefore, humbly looking forward for the arrival of thousands of
yogis & yoginis from all over India so as to make this seminar really fruitful. The pages that follow contain
all the details required by our participants.

Road map and route guide to reach the venue
How to reach the Seminar venue:
From the heart of Kolkata, the seminar venue is about 60kms away. Kolkata, being one of the metropolitan
cities of India, is well connected by air, rail and road with major cities of the country. Howrah, Sealdah and
Kolkata stations are major railway terminals of the city. By road, it takes about 2hrs. to reach the venue
while by train it hardly takes 1½ hrs. No regular bus service is available from Kolkata to reach the seminar
site. Thus, private buses, taxis, cars etc. can be arranged for Sahajis coming from places outside Bengal. This
can be made possible only through prior intimation. Otherwise, the following communication facilities are
recommendable:
By Railways:
The nearest railway stations to the venue are Kalyani and Kanchrapara. These stations are well
communicated to Kolkata by local (EMU) trains available from Sealdah station only. A list of local trains
available from Sealdah station (Main) is as follows:
1. Sealdah – Kalyani Simanta Local*
2. Sealdah – Kalyani Local*
3. Sealdah – Ranaghat Local
4. Sealdah – Shantipur Local
5. Sealdah – Krishnanagar Local
6. Sealdah – Gede Local
(* Journey through Kalyani Simanta/Kalyani Local shall be more comfortable compared to others.)
The venue is about 2.5kms from Kalyani station and 2kms from Kanchrapara station. Regular bus and autorickshaw services are available from these two stations. One may hire an auto-rickshaw or board a public
bus to reach Gayeshpur Amar Jyoti Stadium (the venue). Rail route is more advisable than roadways.
