FESTIVALS With the excitement of Glastonbury now passed and you’re quite pleased you weren’t playing stuck in the mud whilst trying to fight to the front to see your favourite artists, you’re wondering what other festivals there are to attend around the UK over the season. Now comes the decision of what one to attend to fulfil your British summer needs. 11th – 14th August boomtownfair.co.uk the festival headline acts BoomTown’s rapid growth since inception in 2009 has seen it become one of the Top 10 Largest festivals in the UK and the only independent one of its size with 24 main stages. PAROV STELAR This year’s event will take place in Hampshire and you can expect a huge mixture of genres including jazz, bass, disco 7 techno. Shiny gems for your face Well of course this is considered an essential for festival go-ers. The shinier the better so make sure you pick up some cheap and nasty gems to stick over your face. Glowsticks & Body Paint Almost essential to bring these along with you to enjoy the festival and not have to spend lots of money on buying these when you get there. With such a variety of glowing accessories you might want to buy the whole set. Change of Socks A big game changer for the festival go-ers, especially if Glastonbury is anything to go by. You won’t want to be walking around in muddy boots so a clean pair of socks will definitely help. Rain Mac Let’s face it – The chances you will need to have a stylish rain coat with you are pretty high in the UK; we’re not at Coachella so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Just roll one up and pop it in your bag just in case. Costumes Dressing up is considered one of the best ways to throw yourself head first into the festival and enjoy the sights. Anything costume themed is considered appropriate; Just be aware of the clowns & goofballs walking around! This is a great festival for the family to enjoy with children of all ages, just don’t forget to pack them when you’re heading to the car with excitement Loo Roll (apparently) This was recommended everywhere for Camp Bestival (again, especially when you have little children!). Don’t be without and pack a roll or two in your bag for any accidents. Outfits to dress up in Mainly for the children who can also enjoy face painting at the festival, they can dress up as many times as they want at Camp Bestival so make sure you pack some changes! BrightSounds You couldn’t find a better companion to join you in your tent for some tunes.
