Prevention at Source
In hydro-extraction, we replaced its traditional machine with high pressured
squeezer, which produces no noise, and provides :
• Better working environment for workers
• 20 times greater efficiency than traditional extractors
Reduction by Isolation
As for power generators, we installed sound isolation rooms and
equipments in order to eliminate the intensive noise levels from the
machineries. Such isolation provides a better working environment
for employees, as well as the neighbouring community.

Waste
Elimination
With respect to the environment, “waste” is one of the issues that need to be taken care of.
“Zero landfill” is our long-term objective and we are committed to more efficient use of resources and
to reduce waste generated from both our manufacturing and office operations. We are determined to limit
waste where feasible and encourage our business partners to join hands and do the same.
Up-cycling — Recycled Cotton

into the landfills, we manufacture certain lines

The use of recycled cotton is
beneficial to :
Waste Recycling
• Release land use from cotton crop

• Reduce water consumption in
products, such as chemical barrels,
cotton cultivation
• Reduce pesticides used

and printer cartridges.
• Reduce land fill
• Reduce stress from the unstable
cotton price
In 2011, we turned 774 tons of fabric
remnants into recycle fabric (which
was equivalent to reducing 774 tons
of waste), and saved 968 tons of
cotton a year.

is the crucial part of our
operation. Our professional

and skills to steer the company
in creative directions.
Yida Technical Center has been identified as Provincial-Level EnterpriseBased Technology Center, its major functions are :
• Driving “perfection” in the current production techniques
• Initiating new product research and development and environmental jeans
• Developing patented technology and specialized production machinery
• Strengthening information base by market research
• Integrating better the systems and resources
• Coordinating with different parties in technical communications and
new developments.
Industry-Academia Research Partnership
The introduction of advanced technology, training and development,
optimize productivity and enhance product competiveness are Yida’s
strategic initiatives in industrial transformation and upgrading.
We are now partnering with 4 institutions (WuYi University, GuangDong
Pharmaceutical University, DongHua University, University of Electronic

Washing Processes
There is a perception that denim jeans production consumes lots of water and resources and it is a high-polluting
industry. However, Yida has adopted ways to make the jeans manufacturing more sustainable – saving water,
chemicals, energy and manpower.
Waterless Bleaching System
The use of “Ozone Treatment” technology for waterless
bleaching achieves no-water-no chemical washing
process. It provides an eco-friendly finishing
to garments and denims to cut chemicals, and is said
to be a finishing that is “washed by the atmosphere”.
In Jun 2012, we have successfully produced
zero-water eco-jeans for one of the most famous
U.S. brand.

Laser System
This laser system is another technology which
enhances efficiency, aesthetic effects and
environmental-friendliness. Utilizing a laser
beam, this system produces a worn look on the
denim, thus replacing the traditionally harmful
processing that includes sand-blasting and
hand scrubbing. The benefits are :
• Reduce working hours with improved efficiency
- Time : saves 80% per pair of jeans
- Manpower : saves 50% for the operation
• Water-free and chemical-free
• Eliminate fabric dust
• Reduce work fatigue
We understand that transportation has become
costly and it releases much greenhouse gases
to the environment. For years, we have
sought for “Green Logistics” approaches to
limit our emission and induce cost saving :
• Consistent product quality
• Use more sea freights
• More container loads at factories
• Reduce packaging volume and packaging
materials in coordination with the customers

“In the two months of internship at Yida, I really
feel a great corporate culture, learn a lot of things that
outside the books and learn something that won’t be
taught in school. I’m very happy to work with HRD team
