• Our food provider is SLA Management, company that offer students
healthy meal options at an incredibly affordable price. (meal for $5.25)
• Parents and students must register their account in advance. For simple

• Students may also bring their lunch from home but students may not order
lunch for delivery at school.
• The cafeteria is open for breakfast every morning from 7:20 A.M. to 7:50
A.M., and for snacks after school.
Summer Reading Program
2016
• Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory's Summer Reading
Program has been designed to develop an appreciation for reading
and lifelong learning. Encouraging our students to read is one of the
many ways we are preparing our students for academic excellence.

NOTE: It is the responsibility of the student to obtain his/her own copy of the text. If a PDF
version is not available via Internet, books can be purchased via local book store or Internet
source (Amazon – new/used, eBay – used, Thriftbooks – used, Alibris – new/used).
Students will participate in reading circles with faculty, administration, and/or staff
and will need to complete a project based on their book at the beginning of the school
year.

Service Learning
• Students are required to perform 25 hours per year, obtaining a minimum of
100 hours by graduation.
• Transfer students must complete 25 hours (Class of 2019 & Class of 2020) or
20 hours (Class of 2018 & Class of 2017) per year of attendance at
Chaminade-Madonna.
• Seniors who fail to comply with the service hours will not receive their
diploma or transcripts until hours have been completed.
• Service must be completed with a non-profit organization (churches, health
or environmental organizations or community initiatives) or school-based
activities.
• Submit a complete Service Learning Form to the Service Learning Director
to receive credit for hours.

iPad Information
• Students will receive an iPad with Case. Students are encouraged to keep case to avoid
damage
• Do not lend your iPad to anyone! Keep track of your device at all times!
• Your son/daughter will be issued a CM Gmail account. Students must check their email daily
for announcements, messages from the school/teacher/students, etc...
• We manage our iPads with AirWatch (mobile device management software)- The school can
push out updates and apps for students and can monitor student use.

technology questions to [email protected]
• Apple Care Service Agreement
• Manufacturer defects (no charge)- Must make appointment with Apple Store Genius Bar
for repair.
• 2 Accidental Damage claims- $50 charge if taken to Apple Store- $100 charge if we need
to send the device for repair. Apple Care Agreement does NOT cover lost or stolen iPads.
• Out of Warranty repairs- $250.00
Canvas- Learning Management System
• Canvas is where students and parents can see assignment dues
dates, announcements, and other course content. Canvas includes
basic LMS functionality for managing enrollments, sharing
documents, submitting assignments, and assigning grades, as well
as personalized features for individual students.

Campus Ministry Program
Purpose: The major focus is building a faith community in the Marianist tradition
which meets members where they are and challenges them to be “ministers,” by
giving them opportunities to recognize their own gifts for the purpose of serving.
• FRESHMEN REFLECTION DAY: Wednesday, November 9th (All Day)
• We are Chaminade-Madonna...We are a Marianist Community. A day long retreat for
Freshmen, with Senior House Captains as Leaders
• MARIANIST L.I.F.E.: Living in Faith Experience
• L.I.F.E. meetings are held twice a month in the evenings
• In the Marianist tradition, students gather to share their faith and build community---a
time and place for young people to connect with themselves, others and God.
