what IS the DIP?
The Dip is a fundraising event that benefits
Special Olympics New Hampshire. Participants (Dippers) raise funds to run (Dip) into the ice-cold Lake
Winnipesaukee at The Margate. On March 15th, why not join the fun and Dip? You need only raise $175
(including your $50 non-refundable registration fee) to experience the THE DIP!
WHY SHOULD I DIP?
Special Olympics New Hampshire is a sports organization, promoting true competition in
fourteen sports during six seasons. We believe that sports can teach us all important lessons.
When we train and strive for a goal, it teaches us to dream. When we struggle, it teaches us
determination. When we win, we find joy. And if we lose, we can find the strength to try again.
Sports is a powerful force, it can shift focus from disability to ability, from isolation to
involvement. The mission of Special Olympics New Hampshire is an urgent mission, because
people with intellectual disabilities are among the most vulnerable in the world. They are
often ignored, neglected and excluded from schools and society. Special Olympics may be the
only place where people with intellectual disabilities get the chance to become part of their
communities and develop belief in themselves. Our programs open a gateway for our athletes
to achieve empowerment and acceptance. There are thousands more athletes we hope to reach

raising the money
For the required $175 minimum, Dippers receive the Basic Dip Package
which includes:
• Two wristbands to the Post Dip Lunch & Celebration
• Winni Dip apparel item
BONUS: Raise $750 or more and become a POLAR BEAR!
As a member, you will receive a bonus item with the Winni Dip logo,
and be one of the highest fundraisers (in the top 10% of all Dippers)!
Dippers who raise more than the minimum amount
will receive a gift card of their choice:
$500 = $50 Gift Card • $750 = $75 Gift Card • $1,000 = $100 Gift Card
$1,500 = $150 Gift Card • $2,000 = $200 Gift Card • $3,000 = $300 Gift Card

want to participate, but DON’T WANT TO DIP?
We realize that taking the Dip isn’t for everyone. But, just because you don’t want to Dip doesn’t
mean you can’t take part in the festivities and the FUN! You can register as a “Sunbathing Bear,”
and receive the same benefits & incentives as a Dipper, without getting wet!
checking in
All Dippers and Sunbathing Bears must check-in before 11am on Sunday, March 15th.
• Arrive early on Dip Day to avoid long lines or attend one of our early check-in sites.
• At check in, you will:
– Turn in any funds raised.
– Sign a waiver (if you are under 18, your parent/guardian must sign on your behalf)
– Receive your wristbands for access to the lunch and the beach.
– One wristband will allow you to Dip and the other wristband will allow your guest to join
you at the post Dip lunch and celebration.
– Get your Basic Dip Package and additional incentives.
– Purchase additional lunches (first come, first served).
